We’ve been working on this project for over a year now. The reason it has taken so long to release is because everything had to be right. We put a lot of hard work into this. There were numerous trips to Anchorage, days and days of recording sessions, music video shoots, etc. My vision for this project was to flip some of the songs that my era grew up on. Back then we had to burn a playlist onto a cd for something to ride too, and that’s why the title of this album is the “The Burnt Disc”.

I hear people say, “Bishop you switched your flow, you rap too fast, you’re taking the church route”. I’ve ignored all of that because I strive to be the most versatile rapper. What stood out to me the most was “Don’t ever forget where you came from”. So, this album is dedicated to just that. We had a lot of fun creating this and I’d like to thank Raw Beatz for producing, mixing, and mastering the entire album. Without him, this wouldn’t have been possible. I would like to thank Brit for being patient and blessing this project with her vocals and also for trusting my vision. Major shout out to Shiquinn for providing his amazing talent on the guitar and Kill Bill for doing what he does best, which is absolutely killin it on the saxophone!!! Last but not least my Brother in rhyme, D Loc The Gill God!!! It’s been 2 1/2 years since I dropped an album. I’ve been using the 9/07 release date since 2012 but I decided to switch it to 4/9 for the 49th State!
So hear it is, I present to you Bishop Slice & Brit “The Burnt Disc” available on all platforms. There was a slight typo with her name when the album was being processed which is already being corrected! Much love to those that have been supporting my music over the years. You are truely a blessing.
