POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Like many Appalachians, Southerners, and rural people from across the country I have watched my home be eaten first by industry, then tourism, and now a looming threat of data centers. I wrote this song out of a longing for that home that only exists in my memories. The Title and the Spoken choruses come from the Title of a collection of poems from @anniejwoodford “Where You Come From Is Gone”, who also borrowed the line from Flannery O'Connor’s “Wise Blood”. This song is for all of the people who like may not be able to go back home but will fight like hell to make that cultural memory a part of the world I want to build.

Recently after shows I have had people come up and ask about one of two songs and if they are out or when they would be out, originally I had not planned to release "Where We Come From Is Gone" for a couple of years but realized how much it was resonating with people.

I had the absolute pleasure of being able to have @killdeeeer join me at @danny_gibney studio who both did such an incredible job

"Where We Come From Is Gone" Will be available on all streaming platforms on November 14th
