Member Highlight - Meet Odysseus

Odysseus “Ody” is training for more than just physical results—he’s pursuing physical and mental embodiment, while striving to inspire and motivate others along the way. For him, fitness is about becoming the best version of himself and proving that limits are often self-imposed.

One of the biggest catalysts behind his growth has been his mindset. Ody says, “Envisioning myself to be one of the most unique human beings alive that God created us to be. Whatever I was told and thought was impossible to achieve, I achieved it no matter my genetics.” That belief has fueled his progress and pushed him to keep striving for more.

Looking back, one piece of advice he wishes he knew sooner was to use the gym as more than just a place to train. For him, it became a stress reliever, a standard holder, and a place that develops both character and resilience. The lessons learned under the bar often carry over into every other area of life.

Ody says Southside has played a major role in that journey. “Southside has a group of champs in a great environment who all want to be winners. Compared to other gyms, I’ve never seen anything like it. The community is amazing, and I’m excited to see what it becomes in the future.”

One accomplishment he’s especially proud of is building his legs. For years, having skinny legs felt like something he could never overcome. But through prayer, consistency, and determination, he transformed them into a strength he now takes pride in. Along with that, he’s proud of the physique he’s built and the platform he’s creating as a motivated Alaska influencer with aspirations that reach far beyond state lines.

We’re proud of you, Ody. Keep leading from the front!

Go follow my brother Ody and show him some love.

He’s out here making a real difference uplifting the community, inspiring people to get in shape, better themselves, and turn their lives around.

He’s in his 20s, but wise beyond his years. I honestly wish I had his level of discipline at that age.

I’ll be real—I used to set a horrible example for some of these young men.

I learned my lesson.

I own that.

And I’ll never make that mistake again.

From here on out, I lead the right way.

Real ones uplift each other.

Respect, my brother Ody.

This meant everything to me.

I appreciate you, bro. 🤝✊🫡💪🏽
