POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I've had so many friends talk to me about Mad Father over the years, but I had somehow never played it myself! When I saw it for around $5 on the eShop, I figured why not? 😚

Mad Father is a psychological horror game where you play as Aya, an 11 year old girl exploring her family's haunted mansion while uncovering the horrifying secrets surrounding her father.

The game is mostly focused on puzzles, which honestly reminded me a lot of Corpse Party. Nothing was particularly difficult, but they were consistently fun to solve~

I also really enjoyed the atmosphere. The pixel art does a great job creating creepy moments, and the soundtrack fits the game well. The gameplay was fun overall, although some of the chase sequences felt a little rough and could have used more polish. ✨️

As for the story, I thought it was pretty good considering how short the game is. It kept me interested from beginning to end, even if I'm not the biggest fan of the ending itself 😂 I can definitely see why this became such a beloved classic for so many people. I give it 7/10, a short but enjoyable horror experience that I'd absolutely recommend. Although... I'd still tell most people to play Corpse Party instead hehe 😚

Is there really a better activity than building miniatures at the beginning of fall? 🍂

Probably one of my favorites so far, visually stunning and I love that you can see all the gears moving ✨️

Thank you @rokr_official 🩷

Neva is the new little gem from the creators of Gris ✨ And considering Gris was my Game of the Year back in 2019, and one of the VERY few games I’ve ever given a 10/10 🙂‍↕️, let’s just say Neva had a LOT of pressure to live up to 😂

Just like its predecessor, the art direction is absolutely INSANE. The visuals, the effects, the colors… everything is genuinely breathtaking 😭 Every single scene feels like a painting in motion. I will say though, while the soundtrack is still beautiful, I found it a bit less memorable than Gris’ OST, which left a huge emotional impact on me.

Once again, we’re given a story that is incredibly beautiful and emotional. It’s such a heavy experience emotionally, and somehow the game manages to say so much without needing any words at all.
The combat was fun too! Even if it stayed pretty simple overall and became a little repetitive at times. The puzzles, on the other hand, were really sweet and helped keep the whole experience engaging and enjoyable from beginning to end 💕

Maybe Neva didn’t hit me quite as hard as Gris did… but the developers still created an adventure that absolutely deserves to stand beside it. The visuals are stunning, the atmosphere is deeply poetic, and it reminded me once again why video games are my favorite form of art, they combine music, visuals, storytelling, and emotion all into one magical experience ✨

Thank you, Neva, for the short but beautiful journey 🩷 I give it 9/10 ✨ Definitely one of the best games I’ve played so far this year!

I have now earned 250 Platinum Trophies!

Initially, Hades 2 was going to be my big 250 Platinum, but it ended up being a little game called Ball x Pit. This is a brickbreaker game with roguelite mechanics that is extremely addictive in all the right ways.

It was the perfect game at the perfect time, and it ended up becoming my 250th Platinum Trophy.

I wanted to list every Platinum I have earned, but the Instagram character limit said no. So, I wanted to list some of my most memorable Platinum Trophy moments.

Smackdown vs. Raw 2011: The first game I ever Platinumed, and I still remember it so vividly!

Sleeping Dogs: The game so good, I Platinumed it twice (PS3 and PS4).

Every inFamous game: Bring the series back!

Hannah Montana: The Movie: An old mate of mine and I were having a Platinum Trophy race, and I dipped my toe into some horrible games to try and win. I honestly can’t even remember who won in the end.

SO many Telltale Games: Always a pleasure to play and getting the Platinum was a nice bonus.

Assassin’s Creed Origins: The Platinum that completely burnt me out on the AC series.

The Borderlands Trilogy: They were a great time, both solo and with friends.

All the Uncharted games: Revisiting every game on Crushing was a lot of fun, and frustrating as well, but still fantastic.

The Mass Effect Trilogy: I’m so glad these games are now accessible on current generation console, and that I could Platinum them.

Injustice 2: I still remember shamelessly move-spamming as Harley Quinn online just to grind out the required wins for a Trophy.

What Remains of Edith Finch: Re-released for current consoles with a Platinum, just so it could emotionally destroy me all over again.

Death’s Door: Genuinely one of my favourite Platinum Trophy experiences. Challenging, rewarding, and so much fun.

And lastly, Platinuming every game from @supergiantgames…aside from the aforementioned Hades 2. But that will happen very soon.

How many Platinum Trophies do you have? Or is Trophy hunting not really your thing?

Sorry, this episode is kinda boring 😬 I definitely didn’t make the best selection here hahaha

The Koalas are basically the same thing as Hello Panda, but the little cheese flavor was a big no no for me 😭 The chips were by far the best one though, really surprising ✨️

Which snacks would you try this week? 😚

I started Bunny Park because I was craving a cozy little game… but it ended up being super boring 😭

The biggest issue for me was the controls. They’re really not adapted for controller at all. It feels slow, clunky, and not intuitive. 😬

The main goal of the game is to decorate your park, but the options are very limited and you run out of things to do pretty quickly. I don’t even remember how much I paid for it, but it was definitely too much 😭

I mean, the game is cute, and it was fun finding all the bunnies… but that’s pretty much it. You’ll get maybe 2–3 hours of enjoyment max. You can play longer, but it doesn’t really add anything. There’s a big lack of depth. 😗 Honestly, I don’t even know what else to say… it’s hard to talk about a game that feels this empty 😆

If you’re someone who really enjoys super simple, cozy decorating games, you might have a bit of fun. But please don’t pay full price 😭

I give it 3/10 😗

In the game, each night represents a different level, and every level has its own unique concept. They’re all inspired by themes from everyday life, like money, love, or even food 🍔

The music is honestly one of the best parts. Every level has its own track, and most of them are really catchy and relaxing… which is kind of funny because the gameplay itself can be surprisingly stressful 😂 This game is tricky and the timing has to be super precise, but I have absolutely NO sense of rhythm, so maybe it’s just a me problem 😆

Some levels didn’t stand out as much and felt a bit less interesting, but others were genuinely addictive and so satisfying to get right.

The game is on the shorter side, but you can really feel the love and care put into it. For its price, it’s definitely worth it if you enjoy rhythm games or cozy, aesthetic experiences like this! I give it 7.5/10 ✨️

A beautiful package just arrived straight from @vgp_videogamesplus 😍

Seriously, VGP is one of my favorite places to get my games! So many options, limited editions, and they often have great deals ✨️

What should I start with? 😚

Today was kind of a not so fun day, so we’re doing a Snackisnacks because snacks are FUN 😤

I found the lollipops really cool because they’re so different from what we’re used to 🙂‍↕️ But the KitKats still win 😚

Which snack would you want to try?!

Have you ever tried self-heating meals?! 😚

Self-heating meals are extremely popular in Asia, especially in China and Japan, offering a hot, quick meal without needing a stove or microwave ☝️🤓

Honestly, it’s surprisingly good and really cool for camping! I mostly got it just to try the experience, but I’d definitely have it again! 😁

Dear March,

A lot of fatigue this month, both mentally and physically. My health wasn’t at its best, and there was a lot of new stress and uncertainty.

April might look a lot like you, tests, an operation, exams, but also some nice activities planned. 🩷 I’m looking forward to the little joys. 😚

At least there was plenty of good food this month, haha~ Small comforts, but they meant a lot. ✨️
