Manual has never just been about cameras. It’s always been about photography and the role it plays in our lives. From our film stocks to our disposables, and now HOLO, everything we’ve made has been in service of one idea: helping people document a life worth remembering. This film is our way of celebrating that. Alongside it, we’re restocking every HOLO color, our film stocks, and our disposables. Five years ago @brooksjmorrow, @r1pnurse and I sat on the steps of Punjabi Deli and flushed out the entire concept for @parkmartnyc in an afternoon. Restrictions from COVID were lifting and we felt there was a lack of community for emerging artists and brands to platform themselves outside of the online space. What was planned as a one time pop-up market at Maria Hernandez Park, snowballed into a series of monthly, community based, artist flea markets in various public parks in the city and eventually warehouses. @seth________v joined us shortly after the first event and the rest was history. I made some of the best memories, met lifelong friends and was fortunate to work on really cool projects with so many talented people through Parkmart. For our five year anniversary we are running it back one last time this Sunday, June 28th at the East River Amphitheater from 12-5pm. Hope to see you there 🧾💙
