8/8 this was the hardest one yet. gained and lost more than i could have ever expected, but i wouldn’t trade it for anything. my katiepoo dog saw me graduate from doggy heaven, my friends kept me grounded when i felt like it was impossible not to float away, my love for creating grew at least three sizes. i’m forever grateful, san francisco, for the short time we spent together💘

Announcing the 2025 Will Eisner Scholar finalists! We're thrilled to introduce the three finalists:

🌟 Carly Plante
🌟 Jimmy Li
🌟 Lee Truman

These talented artists were chosen by a jury of professional peers, including cartoonists and publishers. After online interviews and a review of their outstanding bodies of work, one of them will be named this year’s Will Eisner Scholar!

On behalf of the Will and Ann Eisner Family Foundation, the Society is honored to present the annual Will Eisner Scholar award, dedicated to one of the most influential comic artists of all time. This scholarship recognizes the best comics and sequential art student currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in the US. Junior-level students are nominated by their faculty and submit a portfolio to the Society.

Join us in celebrating Carly, Jimmy, and Lee as we await the announcement of the 2025 Will Eisner Scholar!
