Italy with the quads on quad

Tor is 9!
I wanted to tell the story of Tor here for him to read one day. The quadruplets were 4 when I tried #IVF again but we couldn’t afford to finish the full cycle so I decided that the quads were more than I ever should want for. To my surprise a year later I got pregnant naturally… and with twins no less!! Because of complications with how they implanted and how far along I was, my uterus ruptured, (not my tube my actual uterus!) I was home alone with the boys and I was bleeding out quickly. I lost the use of my legs and the pain was beyond comprehension… I knew I was going to die. I was able to email Brent…(I couldn’t find my phone.) The computer, the chair came crashing down when I fell to the ground unconscious. Brent got the email, somehow. After a long emergency surgery, with the removal of a large portion of my uterus, followed by too many blood transfusions, I survived, but the twin girls did not. They also told me I could not bare anymore children. I simplify this story with words, but this time for me was extremely heavy and I have never forgot my spirit attempting to leave my body, it alters you forever. Years past and life moved on. With moves to New York, Australia then to Colorado. We thought of adoption and surrogacy. The doctor said while looking at my uterus he thought he could get me pregnant. Shocked! I took the IVF leap again and was able to get pregnant. The pregnancy did not go smoothly, I lost a lot of blood mid way through and expected that I lost Tor. To my surprise we found out Tor was a twin and I had lost his identical twin. But Tor was still there!! We didn’t tell a soul. My water broke in my sleep at 26 weeks ( way to early! Earlier than the quads!) I was hospitalized for two weeks and somehow I got to 28 weeks and #tinytor was born 2.7lbs. He made all my sons better people, he healed me, and made me in debt to god forever… again. Tor is 9 the same age the quads were when we brought him home. Tor is a big eyed, big hearted, loving kid. He is a kimball boy for sure with his tenacity for fun, skiing, swimming, and golf. He loves to make anything and makes our family better in every way! Love you Tor❤️
