Roots are not always underground. Sometimes they are carried through hands, materials, flowers, hair, and place. The floral arrangements were created by the Balinese team @fleurahouse , led by Catherina. Handwoven coconut leaves folded into structure. Pink flowers threaded through hair. A body moving through architecture, water, shadow, and heat. Roots are not only about ancestry. They are the materials we return to. The landscapes that shape us. The traditions carried forward through making. Tropical floral installation and soft architectural arches in the background.

This is not your traditional wedding bag. A white bridal look can become very expected. Soft dress. Soft veil. Soft flowers. Beautiful, and safe. Then came the Berry Bag from @kimcstudio Handmade. All leather. Sculptural. Black. Slightly strange in the best way. It made the softness sharper. It became part of the statement. The most memorable wedding looks are rarely built from matching pieces. They come from contrast. Something delicate beside something bold. Something timeless beside something unexpected. Something handmade that feels like it could only belong to you. That’s the difference between a beautiful wedding and one people remember years later. Good styling is about choosing one thing with enough character to change everything around it. Would you considering adding a chic and modern look like this to your wedding? As you know, here at iD Dunedin we love following the careers of past iD International Emerging Designers. Since being a finalist at iD 2020, Kim Clark has gone on to successfully launch @kimcstudio, a Melbourne-based fashion label that explores quiet strength through refined, contemporary silhouettes. Rooted in thoughtful construction, natural fibres, and small-batch production, the brand places craftsmanship and longevity at its core. Drawing on Kim’s international experience and academic background in fashion design, KimC Studio navigates the space between experimentation and restraint, creating garments that feel both current and enduring. Sustainability and ethical making underpin the practice, with a close relationship to local and regional artisans. The work favours intention, material honesty, and pieces designed to last beyond seasons. We look forward to seeing Kim’s carefully considered collections for seasons to come! KimC Studio can be purchased via kimcstudio.com
