Over the last 3.5 years, I’ve been behind the scenes of many @localcinemastudios projects. At the end of 2025, I got to edit all of that footage into a retrospective piece for them.

It’s amazing to see what they’ve become and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them and the SC Filmmaking community as they continue to grow.

Many people were a part of the making this project a success over the last few years and they are (but not limited to):

Have you seen these guys pop up on your feed recently?🍿🎥 We shot the promo material for the release of Troll 2 and Home for Christmas season 3 on Netflix! We provided the on-set-production with cinematographers and a multi camera set up. We then organized the material before shipping it off to @netflixnordic 🤝 The material resulted in various videos that have gained several million views online🎬

Standing behind the camera while Troll 2 comes to life feels unreal.
The scale, the tension, the silence between takes — everything is charged.

Photographing Ine Marie Wilmann, Kim Falck, Mads Sjøgård Pettersen, Sara Khorami, Gard B. Eidsvold, and Anne Krigsvoll in the middle of action scenes is intense. Even without the finished VFX, the performances make the troll feel present — heavy, ancient, watching. You don’t imagine it. You feel it.

Director Roar Uthaug, together with writer Espen Aukan, grounds the spectacle in realism. The characters’ reactions, the pacing, the fear — it all makes the troll feel terrifyingly real long before it exists on screen.

This isn’t just a monster movie.
It feels physical. Close. Alive.

Now streaming on Netflix.
