What if we’ve been defining worship too narrowly?

The word worship comes from the idea of worth-ship—giving someone the worth they’re due. Every day, our lives are answering one question:

What is God worth to me?

One of the most powerful acts of worship in Scripture wasn’t a song.

In Luke 7, a woman, known for her sinful past, brought an alabaster jar, fell at Jesus’ feet, wept, kissed His feet, and poured out what was likely one of her most valuable possessions. She never stepped on a platform. She never held a microphone.

Yet her actions declared:
“Jesus, You’re worth everything.”

Worship is more than music.
It’s surrender.
It’s affection.
It’s obedience.
It’s giving Jesus the highest place in every part of our lives.
