It's been a busy morning for Joe & Danny today! They had the pleasure of working with @kelham_island_bees inspecting the hives. The bees are looking healthy and they are hoping to harvest the honey in August.

We will be sponsoring a hive later on in the year so keep your eyes peeled for updates! Thanks again to @kelham_island_bees 🌻🐝

We're loving this new addition to the painted cabinets around Kelham Island and Neepsend. This one, located on Hicks Street, is by illustrator Grace Jandrell (sponsored by @alder_bar_sheff). ❤️

This is Naomi Corner, created by the River Don in Neepsend and named after Naomi Colcomb, a campaigner and community volunteer who worked in Kelham. Naomi was tragically killed in a hit and run at the age of 28 back in 2018. KINCA (Kelham Island & Neepsend Community Alliance) were granted money by the Coronavirus Community Support Fund and COVID-19 Response & Recovery Grant and have transformed the corner in to a pleasant niche to relax and enjoy a break along the Upper River Don Walk. The pocket park has an art installation, planters, benches and a book swap station. Naomi had plans to open her own food and drinks business for festivals and events so it had been suggested to include one of her recipes on one of the walls.

What a beautiful day and a beautiful river! 😍
On Saturday, a wonderful group of volunteers was out in force with our support, in partnership with @envagency and @kincaorg 🏞
We were pulling balsam (a non-native invasive species that harms biodiversity), picking up litter and removing debris (including what felt like most parts of a car!) 🚗
Kelham Island is a lovely part of Sheffield and the River Don is at its heart. We do everything we can to keep our rivers healthy and thriving with life; they're a key part of our community 💙
Do you love the River Don? Do you watch the river when you visit all the great places to eat and drink in the area? 🗣👇

The latest addition to Kelham Island and Neepsend's cultural heritage trail is this colourful piece by @flynn_kieran. This one's near @gaardcoffee which is a great place to grab a coffee and something to eat once you've found the cabinet.

It's always great to see a new addition to the trail. I believe there are now 17 cabinets painted by various artists.

👉 You'll find details of this and the other cabinets on the website. We've also got a map specifically for the trail to help you find them all: https://streetartsheffield.com/gallery/category/kelham-island-arts-cultural-heritage-trail/map

Not sure when this one got painted, but we've discovered another of @simon.w.baker's cabinets that form part of the Kelham Island Art & Cultural Heritage Trail. This one has been sponsored by @kelhamwinebar. 🎉
