What a phenomenal day out at @killarneyinternationalraceway watching these gladiators from as young as 11yrs to Vets take on the Cape Doctor. Cat 1 was without a doubt the race to watch introducing points system that saw splits happen on the fly. Congrats @2018morganjones for taking it to teams representing and winning with most points accumulated on day. My rider of day @stoffvanheerden they never saw you coming👏 Thanks to all parties involved making this event possible especially @rh77cycling

@rh77killarney Round 1 done n dusted Officially a CSA sanctioned event and must commend the organizers for their part promoting cycling🙏 The race started off fairly slow and allowed a Plus 1 trio to build a comfortable gap to never be caught. This created some confusion in scratch group racing for that they believed Top honours. Still a valiant effort from @cobus.marais making a solid breakaway winning the scratch bunch. Bring on Round 2

Before the had started it was already a sprint finish, the peloton had other plans launching attack after attack. I think its fair to say that every cyclist that attended is greatful the organizers made a plan putting this race together. The weather played its part, the marshals done one exceptional job. I honestly cannot fault this event and am definitely looking forward to the next edition.

This is what we love…. Morgan Jones, stopped by during a training ride, we discussed his recent racing overseas and if we are going to see him and his team on the start line for SA Nationals Crit. Morgan Jones is quickly becoming one of South Africa’s brightest cycling talents. A multiple-time South African National Champion (including that epic 2023 U17 Criterium comeback!), he’s been tearing it up across road, track, and esports. From dominating the local Western Province circuits to representing SA at the UCI Junior Track World Championships and the Esports World Championships, he is definitely one to watch when he will race on Sunday 1 November. 🚀🚴‍♂️#MorganJones #SouthAfricanCycling
