When the smoke cleared… two stood tall.
@king.jups & @iceyives TOOK the crown in the 2v2 Adult Division at the 7th Annual Mexican Standoff—no cap, they bodied every round.

Style. Power. Strategy. These two came through like a storm—reppin’ experience, grit, and straight-up battle dominance.
Legends in the making? Nah… legends in motion.

Much love to everyone who stepped to the floor—but these two made the cypher shake.

Respect the raw. Respect the real.

Thank you @_michantli_! Over 4 days, I taught a 15 hour intensive titled “Battles and Beyond” that encompassed breaking technique, creativity, battle tips, and what lies beyond for breakers outside of competitions.

Each participant completely gave themselves to my process—particularly on my approach to breaking on theater stages. We went to strange places and by the end, I hope that each breaker can feel confident that they can utilize their art beyond the battle field. You don’t have to be a “world champion” to have a voice and you don’t have to conform your movement with other styles of dance if you don’t want to. Breaking is enough!

This footage is just me getting down with the class. I have clips from our activities—but they really don’t do it justice. You really had to be there to see the discoveries. I’ll save those for another time. 🙏💝

What a great way to end the year! 🎉
