POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I planned to write a 2nd post on ViMP earlier than now but life. 😮‍💨 Nothing serious though, just many tasks dragging for the life of one man.

Apart from the high-impact sessions, ViMP blessed me with a network of amazing young leaders and I'm just going to say Hi to each of them with this post. I hope y'all are doing fine? I hope work and family are in good shape? I hope you are moving closer to your utmost self?

See you in great places guys. 🫂🫂

A lot of young people think leadership starts when they finally get the title.
But titles don’t make leaders. Influence does.

And influence is built long before anyone gives you a position — through how you think, communicate, serve, take responsibility and move people toward something meaningful.

So what does it actually take to become that kind of leader?

That’s the conversation we’re having at the DC TRYBE LEADERSHIP SUMMIT 2026.
LEADING BEYOND TITLES: Building Influence as a Young Leader

Expect powerful panel conversations and an interactive session with Dr. Akin Akinpelu, designed to challenge how you think about leadership, influence and your next level of growth.

You don’t have to wait until someday to lead.

I have always had a philosophy that leadership is not about having positions.

I believe you can have a title and still have no impact or influence, while someone without a title can move people, solve problems, take responsibility, and create meaningful impact in the lives of people.

You don't suddenly become a leader when you are given a position or when a title is placed beside your name.

You practise it before you are appointed.

You build trust before people even think of following you.

You take responsibility before anyone gives you position.

You make impact before anyone calls you a leader.

That’s one of the conversations I’m looking forward to having tomorrow at the DC TRYBE LEADERSHIP SUMMIT 2026.

It's themed, "LEADING BEYOND TITLES", where I’ll be joining as a panelist.

If you're a young person, don't wait for the title before you start leading.

Start becoming the kind of person people can trust, follow, and build with.

See you tomorrow!

It’s another Monday and over a week since ViMP 2026 happened at @lbsnigeria and I still can’t get over the experience.

Today, I am spotlighting the amazing young people I met at the program and how amazing they are. This young people are doing amazingly well for their age. Many came top of class with first class, some already running businesses solving real problems, some advocating for a good cause and others building solid careers.

Being around such people reminds me again that I am not dreaming too big and that I am not even crazy for dreaming this much (there’s a lot of dreaming happening in my head 24/7 - my ChatGPT and Google bears most of it 😫😹) .

This is still the beginning of many amazing things to come. Super grateful for this community of young people ❤️

Average is a decision. Excellence is a standard.

Sharing a few truths with fellow ViMP delegates at Lagos Business School: we’re not here to just show up and participate we’re here to set the pace and own the outcome.

What does taking total ownership look like in your career right now?
