Well, 2024 was a crazy, chaotic, and celebratory year.

It started with a bang (rip Ace, you were a fantastic car). It included a handful of trips to Toronto, a few stops at Bluesfest, a hockey game or two, some karaoke and bowling, and several other fun trips. I made chocolate, made bruschetta … and booschetta … painted pumpkins, and made a witch themed pizza. I hung out lots with some really good friends and had so many laughs.

I walked across the stage at Algonquin (and felt very emotional since I didn’t get that stage walk after my undergrad), and purchased a new car (name tbd), and celebrated (birthdays, weddings, engagements).

The highs and lows of this past year were absolutely insane. But I am so thankful for the lessons I’ve learned this year and the growth that it provided. I’m so thankful to have so many friends and family in my life that I can depend on and laugh and grow with. I appreciate the unwavering love and comfort given and all the ears that have been lended as I ranted and cried and raged throughout the various trials I endured this year.

While I didn’t get pictures with everyone this year, know I am so thankful to have you all in my life and look forward to what the future holds and seeing all your growth and successes! 🩵

Here’s to a happy, healthy, and humour-filled 2025! Wishing everybody love, support, and space to grow. 🩵🥂

2024 SELFIE DUMP 💋 I feel so grateful that this year I got to work with drag artists in Europe, the US and Canada! I wish I remembered to take selfies with everyone I met! ❤️ In 2025 I hope to perform more here in Montreal, specifically DRAGLESQUE… I’ve got a couple big acts on the works! I’ll also be visiting New York and Chicago in the new year! 👀

This week I am celebrating (in bed in my pyjamas) 2 years of Ace! 🃏

I had a conversation with my partner recently about community and social validation, and about how even though personal growth and our sense of self worth are things we need to work on, we also need other people to help validate that journey and SEE us through it, hold us accountable, and bring us perspective.

I don’t think I would have started doing drag if I hadn’t seen kings like @theirholiness , @danksinatradrag , and @kremeinakuchi when I first moved to Toronto. Then when I started seeing folks like @anne__alien , @princemannydingo , @kingcoyoteugly , and @kurtcumstain and the absolute RANGE of kings and things I felt pulled even further to just try it!

The first time I performed I met @thy.itguy , @kannaworm , and @archiecalled —they didn’t know me but they hyped me up and complimented my performance and it made me think “Wow, people like what I do. I think I can do this.”

Since then I’ve met so many incredible performers and artists who have, in some shape or form, inspired me, supported me, educated me, shared their resources etc. People like @selenavyle , @chansashowers , @whatsmybodydoing , @andy_fetamean , @beau_napetite / @hollyclausius , @disabilitycollective , @wtfestivalto , @itsdeverybess , @max_malada , @stefan.fetamean , @catindebag , my partner @human.mostly , and so many more my ADHD brain can’t remember. Grateful doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel.

Life is kind of shit right now, but I’m glad I’m surrounded by people who I can be in the shit with, and fight the shit together. Thank you. 💖
