**BULLHEAD’S SHIT: BORN IN A MOSQUE | The Incredible Beginning of Chief Bullhead Karim**

Abdunnoor “Bullhead” Karim says his story didn’t begin in a hospital—it began inside a historic Muslim community in Bronzeville, Chicago.

Bullhead was born to Dixie Lynn and Abdul Karim in Chicago, near the Robert Taylor Homes. The family worshipped at the historic mosque community associated with 4448 S. Wabash Avenue, and Bullhead remembers living at the mosque during his earliest years and later mowing the property as he grew up.

And that’s only the beginning of the Bullhead story.

His mother, Dixie Lynn, was a white American Muslim convert who married Abdul Karim, an African American Muslim. Bullhead says she later traveled to Pakistan, met members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, stood up for African American women in her traveling party when she believed they were being mistreated, and later joined the U.S. Army at age 30.

Bullhead was given the name Abdunnoor by Hazrat Mirza Nasir Ahmad, the third Khalifa of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

From a mosque in Bronzeville to nearly 30 years in the U.S. Navy, becoming a Chief Petty Officer, comedy, fatherhood, marriage, mistakes, victories and stories that sound too crazy to be true—

Bullhead calls it:

SOME BULLHEAD SHIT.

Not bullshit.

BULLHEAD’S SHIT.

The story of an American-born Muslim who jokes that he’s the world’s most interesting Muslim—and sometimes feels like the Muslim Forrest Gump because he keeps finding himself somewhere near history.

This is where the story begins.
