Joyride came out 5 years ago today! Man we dropped that puppy during COVID and I was like “let’s just make some fun tunes” and that’s what we did. I’m proud of this joint and glad it came to fruition. 🏁🏁

No lie it took a lot to make this joint. Hella studio sessions with @_donnydomino & @ozstudiolife to make sure this shii is right. @alexthemonsterr almost got us shot in Leimert Park trying to shoot a video. @jaredamoody had us walking through a MS hood to get a chili cheese burger at 2AM. @_wolftaylor saved the day TWICE on some loco shii. @mattbagnew linking up all the way in LA to shoot this vid. @kingmidasdtx came and laid down a hook then we turned that into one of my biggest songs (Need That).

Thank you for every message, every call, every hug, every card, every well wish and beyond. I love you guys so much and I felt the love this past month. I got to enjoy good food, my favorite people, and so much joy. I am so grateful to know incredible people who inspire me to be incredible. I LOVE YOU BIG!

It’s funny how life works, you meet somebody, you go on a date then bam a year and a half later you’re having a baby girl! Thank you @steph.luvah for being you and making me a better man. Now we’re on this journey and I wouldn’t want to do it with anybody else! I Love you 😘
