🎥 What’s Your TV & Film Career Strategy?

🎬 There’s no single path into the TV and film industry. Waiting for advertised jobs won’t always get your foot in the door. The truth is most jobs get filled before they get advertised. However, there are other less obvious routes into the business.

🧩 A smart approach includes applying for advertised roles as well as securing up an industry related side hustle that builds relevant experience. Transferable skills from other types of work is important too. Both have value if you can show why they matter.

💼 Side hustles, whether industry-related or not, can give you income, confidence and momentum. They keep you moving, and teach you useful skills along the way.

🎓 I had a brilliant time talking about all of this with the creative students at @royalholloway today.

Big thanks to everyone who attended 🙌🏼

And a special thank you to @dalehallwrites for pulling it all together.
