See these lovely, eager faces? You know you do. But do you know why they are all gathered and posted here? That's right. Because they are all going to be on our stage this weekend only.

Don't miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to see all of these actors on one stage for probably the only 3 times ever in the history of forever. Then you'll be able to brag about it someday when they all get super famous and don't have time for you anymore.

Tickets at the door or online here: https://asketchofnewyork.simpletix.com/

Of course it started with a concert and ended with a ghost tour…

It’s been a little over a week since I headed to Asbury Park to ring in my 40th. And there was something special about saying goodbye to my 30s alongside women I’ve met in different eras of my life, including Cousin Donna (really, a sister), who has known me since I popped out of the womb scream-crying (and jaundiced, as my mom likes to tell the guys I date).

And there was also something a little nerve-wracking about putting these women—some who have only known each other through LaurenLore™️—together in one house, hoping they’d all get along.

But this is why women are magic.

When you surround yourself with baddies and bring them all together, worlds collide, new friendships are forged, and belly laughs go on for so long your abs hurt.

My life at 40 doesn’t look like I thought it would, but I am reveling in my journey. It’s been full of gifts—though not all have been neatly wrapped presents topped with sparkly bows. But that’s the best part about this messy package called life— not every imperfection and defect is meant to be fixed.

I don’t have the white-picket fence dream. I made some poor decisions. Eventually I was beaten down enough to get clean. I rerouted. I stuck my blistered fingers deep into the sludgy walls of the trench addiction slammed me into, and with a slippery, muddy grip and the outstretched arms of others, I clawed my way out.

But you see, abstinence is just the first step– keeping the snarling beast that is the disease of addiction in a daily slumber requires more than just a good grip, more than willpower. It takes breaking patterns and behaviors. It’s rewiring a brain that’s been hijacked for nearly a decade. At 30, I woke up not knowing who I was. At 40, I wake up welcoming the ever-changing beautiful, flawed being I am—she’s done some pretty cool stuff over the past 10 years.

You see, you can map out your life down to the coordinates, but roads close. Bridges collapse. You are left with no option but to take the detour. Know when it’s time to throw away the map and trust your compass. [more lessons at the end of the photo carousel]

Play it Forward, my improv team ❤️🐯

It was so cool performing at the Hudson Valley Writers Center, right along the Hudson Line!

Of course, I was distracted by trains.

I tried stand up for the first time! Thanks to my friends @heathertheskeletonprincess, @regina.font and @kingofthecill
for encouraging me to try. I didn't have a ton of material, as I assumed I wasn't going to go.

Location: @divino_speakeasy in Hastings on Hudson.

I'm looking forward to growing, improving, and partnering with others to combine all the things I love.
