Is this Perth's most family-friendly brewery? 🍻 If you’re looking for somewhere the whole family can enjoy, @kingroadbrewery in Oldbury might just be the spot! We loved the outdoor seating plan because you could watch your kids run freely on the lawn, in the sandpit or play in the incredible playground. All from the comfort of your seat. Here's what we ate: ✨️ Smoked pulled brisket loaded fries $25 ✨️ Buffalo hot sauce chicken wings $24 ✨️ Popcorn Chicken $24 The food was great value for money. The smoked brisket is a feature across a few items on the menu so we definitely recommend trying it. The wings were fairly mild but full of flavour and the blue cheese ranch was absolutely delicious! We couldn't go wrong with the popcorn chicken, it was definitely up there with some of the best we've had. Family outings are even better when everyone has something to enjoy. 📍 King Road Brewing Co, Oldbury, WA Would you add this one to your family day-out list? #perthfamily #perthisok #perthfood #perthmums #perthbrewery

The reason I don’t work weekends anymore 🤍 For a long time, I thought being a good business owner meant saying yes to everything. Late nights, weekends, squeezing people in and always making myself available. These days, I’m much more protective of my time. My family comes first, and I want my weekends to actually feel like weekends. Time with the boys, time with my husband when he’s home, spontaneous plans, slow mornings and just being present for our life outside of work. I’m so grateful for the business I’ve built, and for the life my husband and I have built together, because it means I’m in a position where I can make that choice. I still love my work just as much. I’ve just realised that building a successful business also means building it around the life I actually want to live. 🤍

🍺🐔 WEDNESDAY R&D SESSION 🐔🍺 Happy Hump Day legends! 😎 We’re back at it again… another R&D session at Let’s Eat! And this time, we’re working on something we’ve been getting asked about A LOT! 👀 But first… priorities. 😂 Today’s beer of the day comes from the legends at King Road Brewing Co. 🍺 We cracked open their IPA Strata and holy moly… this one is a cracker! 💥 Coming in at a very respectable 6%, it’s packed with those big tropical and citrusy vibes 🍊🍍, with plenty of juicy hop character without being a complete hop monster. Super refreshing, super smashable and exactly what I needed to fuel today’s very important “research”. 😂 King Road Brewing Co. are doing some wicked stuff, and this one definitely hit the spot! 🍻 Now… onto the REAL research. 🧪🐔🔥 You’ve been asking for it… And we’re finally doing it. A NEW CHICKEN BÁNH MÌ! 😱🔥 We’re working on our five spice chicken 🐔 Vietnamese-style grilled five spice chicken, inspired by the way it’s traditionally done back in Vietnam. 🇻🇳 We’ve been tweaking, tasting, adjusting… tasting some more… and, well… I think we might have bloody nailed it. 😏🔥 This chicken is juicy, full of flavour, beautifully grilled and absolutely delicious. And let’s be honest… why have just one chicken bánh mì when we can have another? 😂 Crispy Chicken needed a mate. 🐔❤️🐔 We’re still doing a few little tweaks before we unleash this beast onto the menu, but we’re getting VERY close. Soon. Very soon. 👀🔥 So tell us… What do you reckon about adding a new chicken bánh mì to the Let’s Eat menu? I reckon it’s a great idea. It sounds like a great idea. And after today’s research… it tastes like a bloody great idea too! 😂🍺🐔 Stay tuned legends… this one is coming! 🇻🇳🔥 The best bánh mì is the one you like! ❤️

The legends at Copper & Oak and King Road have linked up to create Old School IIPA. It’s big, bold, piney and dank, with a bitter, citrusy finish. A great beer produced by great people. Get your hands on it! Cheers 🍻 #beersaswell #doubleipa #copperandoak #beer

🍻OLD SCHOOL IPA🍻 Gurus @copperandoak & IPA greats @kingroadbrewery have joined forces again for their Old School IPA (& IIPA!!). Rich, malt, pine, resin, dank, bitter with a pop of citrus etc etc classic flavours perhaps going ‘out of fashion’ hence the name. I could be missing something there though. Right up my alley, very interesting & definitely delicious beer 🙏🏻 #copperandoak #kingroadbrewery #crafternoonsin

Back from the PGFC Awards evening in Perth featuring a Swordfishing Masterclass from Matt Watson, Legendary! . The Original Swordfish went for Auction to raise funds for Perth's Game Fishing Club. I couldn't have asked for more, watching the bidding action with Robyn by my side. . Back on home turf in South Australia, I've another cracking species on it's way - clue: saltwater fly ..
