𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠 6 𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙥: 𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙖 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙂𝙤𝙙 𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙨𝙪𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜?

This is a question most everyone will wrestle with at some point. While we may not always exactly understand why we suffer, we have hope because we serve the one true God who suffered in our place... and won!!

Thank you to @suzannebuck for helping us navigate this topic and sharing her own story. And thank you to @kingsdenton for providing the food!

See you next week for another 𝘽𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣!

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,”

— ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭22‬‬

I have been freed from years of anxiety and all I can say is the JOY is real.

A year ago today, I hopped on a plane with a one-way ticket to a state I’d never been to.

The Lord is SO faithful and gives abundantly, and here’s a few pics that remind me of that. I love it more here every day!!!!

“You are sent!” A phrase I heard pretty much every Sunday and Tuesday for the last 5 years of my life. This is Redeemer’s motto: that we are always being sent back to our day-to-day lives to be an image bearer for Jesus. It also means that you are not safe from being sent to a new place to live out the purpose that God has for you, and that reality was one that I didn’t realize would come for me so soon.

@redeemerlubbock has been my home away from home since I came to Lubbock for college in 2021. It is where my dimmer switch finally turned on and I began to follow Jesus truly for the first time. It’s a place that has seen me laugh harder than ever, shed lots of tears, wrestle with the Lord, feel the presence of the spirit, and so much more. It has reminded me that devotion to Jesus above all else is of utmost importance. It’s the first place I confessed my sin & a need for Jesus, sought accountability, experienced life-altering vulnerability & gospel transformation. I will never be able to thank God enough for all of the ways his character was shown to me through the people/culture at Redeemer.

Working on the college staff has been the most joyful experience in my time in Lubbock. I’m a better leader & follower of Jesus because of this staff team and church as a whole. To say I am sad to leave is truly such an understatement. However— I’m saying goodbye to this and hello to the next thing the Lord has asked of me!

Starting in July, I am going to be working on the college staff at @saltdenton to reach the college students at the University of North Texas & Texas Women’s University! The Lord used college uniquely to draw me to himself and my work with college students isn’t done yet! Thank you Lord for the joy found in obedience. Thank you Lord for Lubbock & the ministry happening at Redeemer Church. All to you I owe!

Thank you Jesus for this life!!!! 🙌🏻✝️🩵✨🤸🏻‍♀️😙

little life update 😋:

- I made the decision to get rebaptized! :) God placed this on my heart a while ago, and I finally said yes. I was baptized when I was really young, but I didn’t fully understand what it meant. When I was about 12, I started to realize the weight and importance of the sacrifice of Jesus for me and what it means to follow Him. Being rebaptized is my way of publicly declaring that faith now, years later, with a full understanding of His sacrifice. It’s never too late to take that step! He is so worthy of everything 🤍
- I got accepted into leadership with @saltdenton and I am beyond grateful!! I’m so excited to see what the Lord will do through this and how He continues to grow me. This ministry has already impacted my college experience in the best way, and I’m so thankful to be a part of it 🩵 so excited to lead with @eviemelius, my bestie, roommate, sister in Christ, and now co-lead!!
- and the Lord has truly blessed me with the best people ever 🙂 I am so incredibly thankful for this life and every blessing He’s given me.
