You are a director an actor and a performer. You set the stage for your players with dimly lit candles, ambient music and burning incense. You enjoy using props like cloaks, eyepatches and masks for more immersion. You take it even further with your voice acting talents and your grandeur gestures.
-
At the table you have the ability to bring your characters to life. You embody the character true to their nature as you let them take over your senses. You are a stickler when it comes to roleplaying. As you set high expectations for your players and even higher for yourself. You want to enjoy those dramatic or silly moments in a true immersive experience.
-
You are very flexible when it comes to plots and genres because you will turn any genre into yet another one of your shows in a grand stage where your players always feel immersed in your ever expanding world.
-
You are a Doppelganger DM

BIG GRATITUDE POST. After a day of recovery I’m finally able to process the past weekend. It looked like I was going to be sitting out this year’s @capetown48hfp until the stupendous @kinomalek asked me to join his Team Karen as the director. I live for this stuff, and missing my annual opportunity to pretend to be a cool director guy was weighing hard. Thank you Michal for the lifeline, you are a true hero.
Our short film ‘Stand Off’ is a stark, intimate, warts-and-all peek into the fierce world of competitive human statuing. It’s also funny as hell. It’s screening as part of the GROUP C block at Cinema Nouveau at the Waterfront this SATURDAY at 6pm, and SUNDAY at 2pm. You should come.
I have to give immeasurable amounts of gratitude to our phenomenal cast, who completely committed to their roles and utterly embodied these diverse and ridiculous characters. You were all absolutely astonishing and should be incredibly proud of what you achieved. So much love to @itsanda_control @lazerass @zbzoebrown @essie.terblanche @bear.ends and @sivngesi for that insane cameo.
You guys brought the hilarious script by @jonkeevy @ronansteyn @pullikefishsoup to life.
This was easily the biggest team I’ve ever worked with and everyone on set was an absolute dream. I’ll save full thanks for later, but immediate shout-outs go to my badass DoP partner in the trenches @julianbruyns, on-set audio wizard @seoposenwe, our incredible production co ordinator @lisajstewart53, makeup maestro @mixmakeup, and @lars_tv_life incomparable art department (who managed to whip up a golden trophy with a flapping pigeon on the top at a moment’s notice). And if you ever need major league pigeon shit flung about on your set, the super-talented @everbridge is your guy.
Instagram won't let me tag anyone else ☹Shout-outs to the whole Sunday post-crew for giving it absolutely all that you have.
Last but definitely not least @crimson.tam for immeasurable moral support.
Thank you everyone. You’ve given this wannabe cool director guy a tonne of great memories and full heart.
