There’s so much more that goes into dance besides just learning the steps: It’s the friendships, confidence, memories, & the people that make it such an amazing art! There’s just something so special about the family you become a part of when you walk through our doors🤍

Today we’re celebrating the art of dance, but also the people and the family that come with it!

Dance isn’t just about performing. It’s about loving people enough to carry each other through the hard parts. And maybe that’s why leaving hurts so much. Because I don’t really know who I am without dance. For sixteen years, this studio has been my second home. These people became part of me.
And no matter where life takes me next, a part of me will always belong here. And now, somehow, I miss all of it. I miss the late nights at the studio. The extra practices that used to feel unnecessary. The privates. The corrections we got tired of hearing. The strictness that only existed because kelli and the others cared enough to push us. I miss summer intensives. Nationals week. Learning new competition dances in the summer and spending hours trying to remember choreography while sweating so hard we would slip on each other. I miss the exhaustion. The stress. The chaos backstage. The moments that felt overwhelming at the time. Because looking back now, those were the moments that brought us closest together. We spent almost every day of our lives together. And somewhere between all of those long rehearsals and competition weekends… I found my best friends. People see the trophies and the performances. But they don’t see the years behind them. The sacrifices. The injuries. The hours. The love that existed inside these walls every single day.
No trophy could ever compare to everything dance gave me. Thank you for becoming the home I’ll spend the rest of my life missing.
