This summer will always have a special place in heart. The Lord has taught me so much in these past five weeks. I’m am so grateful to have been able to meet all these amazing people, and serve the Lord with them. Team Delta 🫡

It looks worse than it is but I post this to show how faithful God has been this summer. 2 weeks ago I was in the hospital and got diagnosed with pericarditis which is inflammation of the sack around the heart and when my heart would beat too fast I would be in pain. In all seriousness I did not think I would be returning to camp which deeply saddened me because these past 5 weeks have been some of the best weeks of my life. The Lord has been so faithful and I was thankfully able to return to camp to finish the last 2 weeks of the summer. I was showered with prayers and comfort and encouragement from my coworkers who cared for me and showed up for me when I was at my lowest. I wanted to share this because although we are going to face trials and be in the valleys of life the Lord will still be there. Dox and dash in 10 months???

What an amazing past 3 weeks and we still have 2 more to go. It has been so good getting to spread the gospel to these young kids and teach them about Jesus. Praise God for this opportunity!

Thank you Lord for Pine Cove. These last 6 weeks have been so special not only because of the amazing people I got to do it with, but because the Lord has truly been present. I am so thankful to have been used by the Lord in this ministry!

I’m proud beyond words to announce Christy Mactavish has successfully defended her doctoral dissertation at Baylor University. Four years ago she set out on the challenge of a lifetime and attacked the program with passion, faith and a solid dose of good humor while working full-time as a teacher and balancing life at home with the boys and me. The rigor of the Baylor program is world-renowned and Christy excelled in her area of study, earning the respect of her instructors and colleagues. She has many adventures ahead in the education field as Dr. Christy Mactavish. Congrats, baby. The boys and I are proud of you!

I had no relationship with my father so fatherhood is a big deal to me. Here’s to those dads who broke cycles to lead their families with faith and strength. Happy Father’s Day to us.
