Reflecting on the last 9 years and what consistent hard work and consistent LEARNING can do if you’re building something!!

Man, how many of us work hard at something at first, only to give it up because we aren’t seeing the results at first?! ✋

I’m sharing this as a reminder to all of us including myself, that if you’re willing to LEARN and implement what you’re learning, big things can happen!

Keep it Pushing! 💪

Back and Biceps Day!! ✅

Week 16 Mid Week check-in!!

It’s lighter week but it’s still enough to push me so I’m happy with that!! Still running 20 mins before each lift and still showing up to make progress!!

Shoutout @aesthreadics for getting me locked in for the workouts AND for being a sponsor of the podcast 🤝

Today was heavy for me. (Relatively speaking of course)

6 sets of 3 at 245 lbs.

Even after a 2 mile run and a full warmup, it felt heavy before I even got under the bar 😂

I still don’t understand how some of you are repping 4 and 5 plates 🤦‍♂️😂

But I’m stacking days. Little by little.

What’s been hitting me lately is how much lifting is like life.

One lift strengthens another.

Deadlifts build the base and core for squats.
Stronger lats and back help stabilize everything.
Bench work supports the shoulders.

It’s all connected.

Same thing in life.
Your physical, spiritual, mental, and financial health all feed each other.

When one gets stronger, the others benefit.
When one gets neglected, it shows up everywhere.

So this is bigger than just leg day.

It’s about building a foundation that holds up across the board.

Diamonds are built under pressure. Just trying to get a little better each day.

In athletics you have an off-season but when you get into the workforce, that doesn’t usually happen. But that doesn’t mean you don’t still sharpen you tools!!

Week 15 Begins Today 💪

One problem, the weight felt heavy today… which happens a lot these days! I started with Bench and had to drop it to 210 lbs after my first three sets of 225 lbs

But the rest of the workout I put my ego aside and focused on weights I could control for the whole set!! The lifting took an hour and fifteen minutes, but it turned out to be one of my favorite lifts even though I wasn’t moving the weight as fast!!

Workout was powered by @aesthreadics as I’m repping the new shirt “Born to Lose, Built to Win” as well as the sleeves and wraps!!

Got that @bullfit Cowabunga in my system too this morning!! Happy Monday everyone!

Let’s get it!!!

This is what I admire about good coaches!!

It’s not just when they’re navigating bad calls or momentum shifts. It’s when they draw up a play and their team either doesn’t run the play, or they end up messing it up!

How does the coach respond to that situation?!

In business, how does the leader respond to that situation? Because their team is watching them and the show must go on.

So I always like to watch and learn from those coaches that handle those situations the right way. Your team is always watching!! 👀

Day 100 ✅

Looking back on these 100 days it’s actually insane how much can change! I’m grateful for it all! For those who were there for me when I needed to get through the deep dark moments, and even grateful for those who weren’t (you find out who the real ones are in those moments).

Love that I was able to be introduced to @ironbodyfitness_meridian and that @nelxlife introduced me to Joe over here!!

Falling in love with the weights again has been a game changer but also not forgetting my running 💪

Spiritually I am seeing clearly and feeling much better!

Grateful for it all! Here’s the reminder to “keep it pushing” like @kip_grip says right 💪

Leg Day for Week 14!!

I’m proud of where I’m at currently but I still have so much work to do.

Guys, just about two months ago it hurt to squat 135 lbs so I would only stick to the leg presses. But I’ve been working towards heavier weights (relatively speaking), so although 225 Lbs for 5 sets of 4 isn’t much for some, you have no idea how much different this is than just 2 months ago!

I’ll keep working! 99 Days in on this journey and I’m picking up momentum!

Thanks to @aesthreadics for the belt and sleeves 🤝

❗️Working on Weaknesses❗️

I’m not a fancy dribbler and the main dribble I’ve struggled with historically was keeping control consistently with my behind the back dribbles.

I want to be effective as a dribbler. Using it to get to my shot. I don’t need to bounce around and be like Kyrie, that’s not my strong suit, but if I can work on my weakness to get into my major strength (shooting) then it’s worth it to me.

This was a great 10 minute drill post-workout today for me to work on a few things. If you’re like me, maybe try this one out at the end of your next workout.

For the majority of the last year I was fighting some serious battles that many outside of my own family knew nothing about.

Battles that were crippling. Slowly eating me inside. Crushing me mentally and physically. Battles that nobody truly knew because I had to keep showing up as if nothing was wrong.

But something switched one day. It was in December. I decided to have some self respect and I started making moves in my life from a career standpoint and a physical standpoint to take control again.

I have fallen in love with the gym again which was a hard thing for me for so long. I have gotten the passion back! Grateful for the ones who surrounded and supported during some dark days an also grateful for the ones who didn’t because there’s always “opposition in all things” 💪

Week 13 Leg Day ✅
