As our team’s ambition to create increasingly more involved robotics and kinetic engineering art installations grows, we employ new sim systems to visualize performance and potential mechanical issues as we prepare for physical prototypes. Here is a sample of simulation built and tested in @nvidia Isaac Sim for our parter @pixera.one Basecamp event coming up in Nashville

We’re brining Astral Twin to @sonarfestival this June! Astral Twin is a robotic, audiovisual installation that explores the tension and harmony between human-coded logic and machine-emergent behavior.

For this iteration we’re placing the work within Gothic architecture of Llotja De Mar. History meets future in a physical form.

See more on our website. ¡Estamos súper emocionados! Nos vemos en Barcelona 💥

Belated review of one of the best trips of my life thus far: @kirbej and my epic E Asia journey (Tokyo HK Osaka Kanazawa), spurred by the inspiring nuptials of @czau and @alexfinolr. Thanks to @kirbej for being a spectacular travel partner, Japan and Honkers for helping me imagine what NY could be under ideal conditions, and to Ale and Christina for building community, which is the ultimate purpose of life. 💗

Astral Twin III debut @webelonghere.world this past weekend! The installation was setup at the VIP lounge where fans of @gordoszn and @carlcoxofficial were able to take a breather and contemplate on tension and harmony between human coded logic and machine emergent behavior 🔥 check more about the project on our website!

Big 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 to Volvox development team on site support! Can’t wait for the next iteration of Astral Twin!

Tough to beat 4th of July in the Pines for sheer joy, community, love, and silliness. Thank you to all my housies and friends across the island for making it such a vibe, and special thanks to @wiwiplease for being so gracious and @erikizq for doing such a fab job on the decks for our party! 💟☮️♐️

Once in a while our team gets to truly ‘play’. The results often use the tools and techniques we learn on commercial projects combined with some VVOX magic - we create work like Astral Twin.

Our first trip to @movementdetroit was so wonderful! Saw all of or part of over 30 sets, danced with so many wonderful people, and experienced so many new facets of Detroit.

Was it a little weird to be dancing with so many kind, progressive, tolerant people in the presence of so many sculptures and art works on the subject of progress, labor, and activism given everything going on? Yes, at times. But being around y’all still makes me happy and hopeful. Love IS the answer… always. 😉

Special thanks to @movementdetroit / @detroit experts/friends @brightlightsbigcheetah and @terrynotterri for their help navigating. We will be back! 🙏💃🏳️‍🌈🏗️🚗

One for the books! We collaborated with @hovercraftstudio for @coinbase at the NBA All Star Game in SF. Our robotics team provisioned our #kuka robot arms to create dynamic movement choreography and systems for this one of a kind basketball activation.

The game invited players to shoot the hoop and with every shot ( via a sensor ) the robot would adjust dynamically to help them score💥
