Apology accepted, but only because the effort was dramatic enough 💅🏻😂

What you read doesn’t matter.
How you read doesn’t matter.
Just read. Something is better than nothing.

✨ What a magical afternoon! 🪄📚

Today’s Harry Potter event was nothing short of amazing! We had lots and lots of fun, tested our Potterhead knowledge with an exciting Philosopher’s Stone trivia, and got creative with our very own wand-making session by @party_sharty01 which was an absolute success! 🪄✨

From magical discussions to laughter, creativity, and a little friendly competition, today was truly one for the books. ⚡💛

Thank you to everyone who came and made it so special. Mischief managed… until the next one! 🪄⚡

Reading is a kind of peace. A few pages every day can quiet your mind, ease your stress, and give you a little space to breathe. Sometimes, all you need is a book and a few uninterrupted minutes to feel a little calmer. 📖✨

Books are not a luxury. They are a necessity—a basic human need for curiosity, imagination, empathy, and understanding.

So little time.
So many books.
And somehow, that’s the most beautiful problem to have. 📚

HEADLINES ONLY 📰
For a few hours, we stepped into August 1947 and became the journalists, editors and storytellers of our own imagined newspapers. Different prompts, different perspectives, and so many brilliant interpretations — history, but through our eyes. 🤎

What a book club meetup. What a day. What a book. 🤍

Some books leave you with thoughts. Some leave you with silence. The Book of Everlasting Things by Aanchal Malhotra left us with both.

Our August meetup was an emotional and deeply moving journey through Partition — fictional, yet hauntingly real; heartbreaking, yet mesmerising.

For our “Headlines Only” activity, we travelled back to August 14th, 15th and 16th, 1947. With different newspaper perspectives and prompts from the book club, our readers created their own headlines, stories and interpretations of what those historic newspapers might have looked like if they had been written by us. What emerged was creative, thoughtful and, at times, incredibly powerful.

And then came the discussion.

One of our most intriguing discussions yet. We spoke about Partition, loss, migration, memory and the complicated emotions surrounding a moment that changed the course of countless lives. We spoke about the beauty of an Indian author writing about this history with such tenderness and depth.

And then there was perfumery — the intricate descriptions, the scents, the craft and the way fragrance became a language of its own.

There was calligraphy, the beauty of Urdu, the painstaking details of the written word, and the exquisite craftsmanship woven through the story.

There were different opinions, different interpretations, and yet so much warmth, goodwill and joy in simply sitting together and discussing a book we had all felt so deeply.

And, of course, there was coffee. ☕📖

We came for a book discussion and left with conversations, memories, new perspectives and perhaps a little more understanding of a history that belongs to all of us.

One of our best meetups yet.
One unforgettable book.
And a room full of readers who were, quite simply, speechless.

Until the next one. 🤎

An evening well spent with Ghost Eye, great coffee, and even better conversations. ☕📚
Our Guess the Past game brought history, memory, and imagination to life.
“The past is never really gone; it lives on in the stories we choose to remember.”
Thank you to everyone who made the discussion so thoughtful and engaging.
Until the next book! 💙

Every game night ends with me looking around the room for a second. People laughing, debating over the rules, forgetting about their phones, and making plans to meet again.

That’s exactly what I hoped Wild Card Club would become. Thank you for making June so special.
Can’t wait to see what we create together next.❤️
