There’s something entirely unspoken about finding solidarity with others - something soothing; something emboldening. I wonder if it’s the reassurance that your own idiosyncrasies are not uncommon; or that your relenting fears are not exaggerations; or perhaps that your restlessness is not unjustified. I think in sharing common ground we might come to elevate our journey; we don’t exist in isolation so why should our stories. Our admirations and inspirations should be celebrated just as freely as our own accomplishments. I’ve always thought it the greatest privilege to be surrounded by talented people; no one person can be all things all at once so to hunger in hand with creative kinfolk is to fashion a shield of sorts.

I am women and I have a compulsion for things of beauty; I see those traits reflected in so many here but in four others in particular. Two of whom that I have had the pleasure to meet and two more that I admired from afar. I’m making praise of them each in my first #followfriday dedication.

My infatuation of the moment is @melgaarden her account has an aching beauty; it’s one that so subtly splendours in prosaic moments; in the textures and patterns of her surroundings.

My kindered spirit is @_goodoldfashioned her eye seeks out the intimacy of moments and of places, she captures so eloquently a sense of emotion and seems to naturally find the angles most often unseen.

My most recent discovery is @kiste72 her work is like slipping beneath the surface of tranquility; she lives the kind of existence you can’t help but covet and one she so beautifully dedicates to film.

My most admired talent is @amandine_lhyver her frames dedicate admiration to beautiful simplicities; they are subtle and perfectly composed; she seems to have mastered the art of balance and refine.

Lovely Susannah @susannahhemmingsstylist has tagged me in a #widn! When I was tagged I was sleeping. But in between I've pottered with myriad tasks. Today's has been this - a rejuvenating of an old print into an object worthy of its story, which I'll share another time. My hands aren't obliging in creature making but they always need to be active and thankfully are enjoying this.

Still not entirely compos mentis (as evidenced by the salt I just heaped on my strawberries) but how lovely you are to still comment and talk when all I can offer in return is a heartfelt but seemingly small ❤. It's Friday and weekend to be... and I'm still home with the stomach flu, seemingly not wanting to let go.
So, what's better than some inspiration? Insta is such a wonderful community with so many lovely and inspireing people.
