@milkkarten just dropped her Q3 brand social trend report and one of my biggest takeaways: effort is making a comeback 🎉 Influencers are skipping short-form talking heads and opting for mini movies instead as noted by @mirandadoesbrands More and more brands are skipping short clips and baity hooks for longer form ads noted by @kampwesterjack And even the algorithm seems to be following suit with videos over three minutes showing up in the discovery tabs The Arts & Crafts movement on social is another key signal that effort is cool again and I couldn’t be happier! Don’t be afraid to be seen trying ✌🏻

Hermès has already commissioned 16 artists, illustrators and animators for its animated campaigns this year. And it’s only June. Last year, the brand worked with almost 50 artists, illustrators and makers across its social content. So the interesting part isn’t just the number, it’s the consistency. At a time when a lot of brand content is starting to blur together, this kind of creative discipline stands out.The result is social content that feels authored, carefully made and deeply connected to the brand’s bigger idea of craft. And so far this year, 16 artists have already helped shape what’s still to come in 2026.
