🎒 C’est la rentrée ! 🍬

✏️🎨 #sculpture #devoirdememoire🇫🇷 #bondy #camilleclaudel

WHERE THE SUN NEVER SETS
Interactive video - EyeTracking
& associated Website
SUNS.ELISE-MORIN.COM

Where the Sun Never Sets is an immersive experience in which the eye becomes a tool for sound exploration. Thanks to an eye-tracking system, each viewer’s eye movements trigger fragments of testimony and spatialized soundscapes, revealing the invisible strata of an irradiated territory.
The interactive film links three emblematic sites in New Mexico: Three Rivers Petroglyph Site, Trinity Site, and Very Large Array, weaving a narrative between ancestral sun worship and the shock of the first nuclear explosion. Three sites, three markers of a relationship to radiation – solar, atomic, and cosmic – woven through the ages. Voices from the Downwinders community, scientists (Timothy Mousseau), an astronaut, and native researchers compose a sensitive, political, and poetic cartography of the Tularosa Desert.

With Luciférine, 2024 was a year immersed in bioluminescence, discovering new forms of life and learning other creative skills such as fluid dynamics, microbiology and glasswork.

Many thanks to the collaborators involved and the partners who made this project possible. Special thanks to @normand_sebastien for the videos.

After performances at @gmem.marseille during @biennalechroniques and @stereolux_scopitone , Luciférine is ready to tour in installation and/or performance format.

Wish you a glowing year with or without bacteria :)

LUCIFERINE
sound and sculptural performance for bioluminescent bacteria.

Happy to share footage of Luciférine. The real light perception of the bacterium is not easy to show on a screen. Thanks @hugoboug and @lyllierouviere3. Next one @stereolux_scopitone "Infiniment Lumière" on 1 December.

[EN] Luciférine is a sound and light performance featuring bioluminescent bacteria in a tentacular glass sculpture. The aim is to offer a sensory, aesthetic and collective experience: to give an assembly of humans the chance to see and hear microscopic marine organisms, close relatives of those at the origin of life on Earth. 🧪
