POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

On Friday, we had the pleasure of experiencing and sampling Walter Wendel’s W4 Design kitchen island in the Rhine Valley, in very pleasant company, at the home of one of Walter’s clients and good friends.
Where design and culinary innovation come together in perfect harmony to make the central kitchen island in this penthouse the place where enjoying time together is the name of the game.

My friends at @kitchendesignpartners have been sharing some beautiful (and functional!) organization hacks lately. 🙌 They were so good, I just had to pass them along.

In today’s North Shore market, inventory remains incredibly tight, and we’re still very much in a seller’s market. 📈 For buyers, that may mean considering a home that needs a little updating or personalization.

💡 The good news? That can be a huge opportunity.

✔️ Get into a fantastic neighborhood
✔️ Create a space that reflects your style
✔️ Build equity along the way

Sometimes the best homes aren’t the ones that are perfect on day one—they’re the ones with the most potential. ✨

Swipe through for some smart organization ideas that can make any space feel more functional, beautiful, and enjoyable to live in.

Spring has arrived and it is time to think about Cape Cod, Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. A blue and white of Cape Cod and the islands on my table in my studio before they moved to their forever home for installation.
On the wish list were family sailboat, Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard and a compass rose to name a few.The tiles are porcelain and fired in the kiln for a lasting heirloom for this Cape Cod home.

White, black, and wood are classic neutrals that balance clean, dramatic and warm vibes without going overboard. Adjust the mix of each tone, and you can tailor your kitchen’s style to your taste. 🍽️✨

TREND ALERT: Texture is back! We’ve seen it in rough-hewn ceiling beams, the introduction of more character-rich wood species in cabinetry, and in dimensional wall tile. We also have the enormous popularity of painted cabinetry. The perfect marriage of these two overwhelming trends is painted Oak. With Painted Oak finishes, we get the clean look of a painted surface (color-matched to your heart’s desire), with the delicate beauty of wood grain coming through, giving the surface more interest.

Don’t cross off a fixer-upper in your dream neighborhood — it could look like this with the right renovation team in place. ✨

We are still in a seller’s market in Chicago’s North Shore neighborhoods. Considering a fixer may be your golden ticket to scoring a great home in today’s market.

My network of proven professionals includes the wonderful designers at @kitchendesignpartners, and they are celebrating 20 years in business! Give them a follow for more inspiration 🏡

Joining my friends at @kitchendesignpartners to celebrate #WineWednesday 🍷

➡️ In today’s market with low inventory, I encourage my buyers to look beyond the current finishes in a home and imagine the possibilities. I parter with trusted professionals like @kitchendesignpartners to help my clients get their dream home through renovations.

What a wonderful way to end the day, by pouring yourself a glass of wine right from your own bar. Ah! Time to relax. 🍷
