When Blake and I set out to build ONE, we knew we wanted to lean hard into creative sourcing as much as possible. Donations, street finds, and the unexpected scrappy, rebellious, and often side-eye inducing kind that some folks may not quite understand. (Trust the process, y’all!)

We are so proud to announce that the entire main center structure (approximately 12’ tall x 25’ wide x 3’ deep) of our piece (roughly 100 sheets of used plywood) is made entirely from rescued materials. We’re talking about high-grade wood salvaged straight from donation piles, galleries, set design teardowns, and stage productions that would have otherwise gone straight into the trash.

As artists, we see civic responsibility and sustainability as one and the same. Access points are everywhere if you’re stubborn and observant enough to hunt them down. Yes, it takes a huge amount of energy to source these things, find transport, and move literal tons of material by hand, but the takeaway stands that with the right creative lens, art can be forged out of literally anything, anywhere, with any budget.

A massive thank you to everyone who helped us source these materials and keep this wood out of the landfill. We can’t wait to show you what we make of it.

Since May, we’ve been working non-stop to turn our fantastical playa dream into something we can actually see, touch, and relate to. What started as a loose concept quickly took on a life of its own, and we’ve been breathing life into it, day in and day out.

Inspired during a full moon gathering at the home of Alex and Allyson Grey, we lovingly named our project ONE. In numerology, one is the single point of origin, the monad, the only shape with no beginning and no end.

Building something of this scale and significance, beside your closest person and a loving, supportive community, is a gift beyond explanation.

As this beast comes to life, we’ll be pulling back the curtain to share more of the story, the process, and where we’re taking this project next.

Thanks for supporting us as we are learn, helping us while we’ve been injured, and sharing our excitement! We love you!

FYI: the “AI content” label is because of a lighting filter Instagram had that we used to take this from fluorescent overhead lighting workshop energy to this much cooler version. This is the real thing! With a filter ☺️

$//History, Culture, Beauty\\ Reminiscing on one of the biggest highlights of our trip to Poland - Krakow was easily @kitchushku and my favorite stop on the trip! This city has it all: culture, art, history, flavors, walking streets, and unexpected adventures. We fell in love with these alleys, we discovered hidden experiences in underground bars, and we saw brilliant marvels of architecture throughout. We stayed in a beautiful 5-story walk-up that overlooked the Wedel castle and we knew it was going to be a highlight from day 1 - wishing we could have stayed longer but it just means we need to be back. Here's just a few of the highlights of this unforgettable trip! #visitpoland #wanderlust #krakow #poland #exploremore$
