While the CLARITY Act didn’t pass, the SEC and CFTC are stepping up to provide greater regulatory clarity and support innovation in digital assets.

Yesterday, the SEC opened the door for tokenized stocks to trade onchain 🎉

But there’s an important condition: tokenized shares must provide the same rights as the underlying security, including dividends and voting. Issuers can also object to third-party tokenizations.

That makes post-issuance infrastructure critical. Our portfolio companies:

🚀 Metagood helps issuers and platforms bring corporate actions and existing workflows onchain, from dividends and voting to splits, redemptions, and more.

🚀 Internet Capital Markets Exchange (ICME) is building the regulated market infrastructure for tokenized private-company equity.

We couldn’t be more excited to back two innovative companies building the infrastructure to modernize capital markets. 🔥

Last Monday during the SALT conference, ACTAI Ventures hosted an intimate dinner at Caldera House with leaders across blockchain, AI, and energy to discuss one of America’s most important challenges: the future of our power grid ⚡️.

Bill Tai, Founding Chair of Hut 8 (NASDAQ: HUT) joined Kevin H. Yung, Chief Engineer & Business Development Officer at Priority Power, the largest independent energy solutions provider in the U.S., and one of our fund LPs for a discussion moderated by ACTAI Ventures Managing Partner Amanda Terry.

The takeaway was clear: energy is GDP. Faster grid innovation and regulatory modernization are critical to keeping the U.S. competitive in AI, data centers, and next-gen industry. Guests also received a limited-edition, signed ATLAS copy, co-contributed by Internet pioneer Vint Cerf and Bill Tai, highlighting the importance of a Telecom Deregulation Act similar to what ushered in the Internet era for energy.

Bringing founders, practitioners, and investors together in curated settings to learn from each other and find ways to collaborate is core to how we operate. The best solutions are rarely discovered in isolation and the convergence of blockchain, AI, energy, and infrastructure has never been more powerful, or more important.

Congratulations to Sovereign Green Compute (SGC) on their coverage in Business News (Perth) on creating renewable AI data centers in Western Australia! 🇦🇺 Western Australia (WA) is emerging as a major global hub for AI data centres because it combines abundant, low-cost renewable energy, available land, and increasingly strong fibre connectivity potentially allowing it to sidestep the grid constraints crippling Australia’s east coast.
…
During an appearance at West Tech Fest, Silicon Valley venture capitalist Bill Tai, a seed investor in Canva, Zoom and Twitter, noted that the state possessed an unrivalled combination of resources. “It is lower cost to generate [renewable] electricity here than almost anywhere else in the world,” Mr Tai said. “This is like Saudi Arabia of solar energy. Every single hyperscaler that understands what is happening is going to want to run all of their AI factories in WA”.
…
“We’ve evolved from early modular pilots into looking at large-scale, power-first AI infrastructure,” Ms Taylor told Business News. “The bottleneck is access to power. We’ve always been looking at the renewable, behind-the-meter model so you don’t have the issues we have on the east coast and in the US with grid congestion. “For us, it’s also about bringing in First Nations partners at the beginning. There’s a big opportunity for WA to lead in this area in a way that’s not just an extractive model, and that creates local jobs.”
…
ACTAI Ventures is proud to back SGC’s pre-seed in this massive & critical market! ⚡️

Day Four — ACTAI Bali 🇮🇩

Our final day of the tech talks included an inspiring story from Titouan Bernicot of Coral Gardeners. Originating from French Polynesia, Coral Gardeners is a global movement leading the way on restoring coral reefs and protecting marine ecosystems. As part of ACTAI’s core mission to support ocean conservation, we are honored to collaborate with Coral Gardeners.

The afternoon was a deep wellness reset, with meditation, saunas and ice baths at a beautiful wellness sanctuary overlooking the ocean. Some of our surfers headed out to take on the swell, before everyone came back together in the evening to dance the night away with world class DJs.
