Kit Start 2026 Applicants - Please stand by!

We received over 200 applications from you all, so it’s taking us a little longer than we’d hoped to review them, but we will be inviting successful applicants to interview by 23rd January.

If you haven’t heard from us by this date, unfortunately you haven’t been successful this time. We regret we are unable to give individual feedback but please keep an eye out here for announcements for the next round and other training opportunities from our partners and friends in the industry.

Best of luck,

The Kit Start Team

We want to help increase the number of crew trained in First Aid on set. We know things can get sketchy during those sunset scrambles and the more crew trained in health and safety the better for everyone!
We have searched for the most financially accessible and industry relevant course available. We were lucky enough to find @dianavictoriaperko who is an on set medic and first aid trainer!

24-7 Drama in London have kindly offered their space to run the first course.

This course is open to any crew members in any role from any department! Sign up on our website and don't forget to get in touch if you're a trainee as we would be very happy to give you a discount! 💛🚑

Pls book over our website. Select Professional Development in the menu and select the course.

Here at Kit Start we’ve been blown away by the amazing response we’ve had to this initial 2026 programme. We couldn’t have done it without our collaborators MMF, and our industry partners and funding providers Screen Scotland, Panavision, No Drama, Progressive Broadcast Hire and The Callsheet.

Our aim is to continue to run the programme throughout the year and provide more paid placements and learning opportunities in London and the regions. That’s where you come in!

To find out more about how you or your organisation can get involved, please get in touch with us by email on kitstart.ohp@gmail.com or click the email button under bio.
