It’s a big weekend for cat events! 😻🎉 Both @catconworldwide and @cpcatconvention are happening in Catifornia and Mew Jersey respectively on Caturday & Sunday! Have you ever been to a cat event before? They are kind of like drinking from a fire hose when it comes to cat culture— they tend to have an overwhelming amount of information and resources for both cats & cat people! The events have been popular in recent times— there might even be one happening near you! Salem Cat Museum’s founder even ran one called @witchcitykitty in 2019, 2022 and 2024 — it’ll be back in 2027 in a slightly different form (more later). We wish we could attend @cpcatconvention and @catconworldwide this year, but alas Salem is a little busy right meow 🎃🤪 In the meantime here’s a list of all the businesses and artists that are attending this weekend’s events that have worked with Salem Cat Museum (sorry if we missed you, turns out there’s a lot 🙏🏻🙀)

2 years ago today I adopted my fluffy meatball Ozzie from the Kitty Cat Cafe and made him Knight of the Pink Palace. Since then he became bowtie brothers with King Louie and brought me endless giggles, smiles and fun. He has come so far, from overstimulated bunny kicking my arm to shreds after only 2 pets, to running up to me to get picked up for hugs and kisses after work. I'm so proud of him for giving me a chance to be his mama, and a shout out to Kitty Cat Café for making this possible.
Thanks for putting up with my crazy, let rhere be many more adventures to come. I need at least 15 more birthdays out of you my little biscuit factory. I 💖 YOU SO MUCH!!!
Cuteness overload, AAAAAHHHHH 🥰😍

His birthday party is on Thursday, so stay tuned for the photos, his cake is AWESOME!!!

Enjoying some cheesy eggs with his breakfast

Portrait of Howie 🐾🤎

I made this little portrait of Howie after seeing the most adorable video that Kitty Cat Cafe and Adoption Lounge shared of him. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to turn that sweet little moment into a painting. 🥹

I believe Howie has since been adopted—which honestly makes me even happier to have painted him. ❤️

And if you’re ever in Massachusetts, go visit the Kitty Cat Cafe and Adoption Lounge in Peabody! It’s a nonprofit cat cafe where you can spend time with adoptable cats in a cozy, playful space. 🐈☕️

Hi Milo's friends! This is a hostile takeover of my big brother's account! Okay I swear I didn't beat him up, not yet anyways hehehe.

I wanted to introduce myself, hi my name is Howie and yes my mommy FINALLY brought a cat into the house. While I am nervous of all the new sounda and people, I am very excited to live out whatever a bougie life is. That's what my humans keep saying and I'm not sure how I feel about it. While my brother Milo and I have not physically met yet I have been leaving my stink and hair everywhere for him to find! 😆 For now I'll be on my semi best behavior and look frward to getting to know my new family and friends!

Also shout-out to @pals_animal_life_savers for finding me on the cold streets and to the best foster family at @kittycatcafema! Thanks for helping me be the best me so I can find my forever family 🥹♥️

For now I'm off to learning to be better so I can finally meet my big brother! Toodles fans ..I mean friends!

Hello!! I wanted to share a huge thank you to Cora and Uri at @kittycatcafema for hosting a pop up of my art at their cat cafe!!

I'm so thrilled to have my work here and I hope if you're able to, you find time to visit them. During setup it was clear this is a beloved community space for people and cats where folks were working, drawing, hanging out, and -of course- playing with the (adoptable!) cats. They are a nonprofit and have found homes for over 150 cats, some or most of which are high needs and challenging cases. I was particularly in love with Howie, Max, and Beanie who were very interested in saying hi and checking/fighting over out the boxes I had brought 😹

I made 50 little mini originals of silly paint blobs turned into cats doing various nonsense, some handmade cards, plus prints, stickers, and stationery. A portion of sales goes to the cafe! Thank you again Cora & Uri!

I'm Lord Briar! I was adopted one month ago by my favorite person, my mom Alina. I am an alumni of @kittycatcafema, where they helped me stabilize my medical needs! When I came to the cafe, I couldn't control my poop due to severe IBD and a tritrichomonas infection. After 10 months of doctor visits and trials, I became healthy and clean enough to go home! We're very thankful for all the help along the way to get this far. We want to use this space to continue sharing his journey and other cat adventures at the cafe!

If you are a cat lover (or just have a soul), Kitty Cat Cafe in Peabody is a total must-visit. It’s a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit that shelters about 10 cats at a time, and you can instantly feel the passion Cora, Uri, and the volunteers have for rescue work. They’ve created a space that is the true definition of “mi casa es tu casa”—the cats basically own the place, roaming around freely while they rehabilitate and wait for their forever homes. It’s so heartwarming to see them in such a chill, loving environment.

What I appreciated most, though, was the educational side of the experience. They really take the time to highlight FIV kittens—which is basically the cat equivalent to HIV—and explain how they can live totally normal, happy lives with just a few standard precautions. Cora even touched on the biases that exist, even among vets, so I loved that I left not only feeling fuzzy from cat cuddles but also a lot more informed. Whether you’re looking to adopt a new best friend or just want to spend some quality time with some kitties, I highly, highly recommend checking this place out and supporting their mission!

My installation at the @kittycatcafema has officially ended! Thank you to Uri & team for keeping my art up for so long, and thank you to everyone who took home a print! If you haven’t visited the cafe yet, you should! They’re a non-profit doing great work getting kitties rehabbed and adopted, and they could use your support. We just met this sweet boy named Lord Briar (last few slides) who goes home in a couple weeks. He’s the sweetest guy despite a lifetime of neglect and medical issues. So happy he’s found his forever home! 💛🐈💛
