💜📚 What an amazing day at the Great Book Swap! 📚💜

I had such a wonderful time meeting so many incredible people, fellow authors, vendors, and members of the community. Every conversation and connection made today was special.

One of the most meaningful parts of the day was having the opportunity to share my story and my journey with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. Being able to educate others about MCAS, bring awareness to an often misunderstood and invisible illness, and talk about the experiences that inspired me to write Mast Cell Activation Syndrome Cannot Break Me means more to me than I can put into words. 💜🦋

Thank you to everyone who stopped by my table, asked questions, listened to my story, purchased a book or bracelet, or simply took the time to learn more about MCAS. Every conversation helps spread awareness—and that is exactly why I continue to use my voice. Thank you for the donations for the Mast Cell Disease Society to help continue research for mast cell diseases.

Today was about so much more than books. It was about community, connection, awareness, advocacy, and reminding others living with chronic and rare illnesses that they are not alone. 💜

So grateful for such a beautiful day at the Great Book Swap! 📖🦋💜

Our Friday Finishers have truly outdone themselves this week!

First up is our talented teacher Kathryn, who knit the Tulip Scarf by our resident designer and author, Rhona. While the photo doesn’t quite capture the intricate lace details, this beautiful scarf combines fingering-weight yarn with Kid Silk Haze for a delicate, airy fabric. Kathryn’s smile says it all—this was a project she loved making.

Next is Lori, who was featured just last week! This time she knit the Simply Me Jacket by NORgardknitters for her daughter Karyn using Kelbourne Woolens Scout held with Prairie. This elegant garter stitch cardigan features gorgeous pleat in the back, adding a feminine touch to an already beautiful design.

Rounding out the week is Debbie with her Spiral Market Tote by Christina Danaee, knit in North Light Fibers Seaside. Perfect as a project bag or beach tote, this fun and practical knit is ready for summer adventures.

Wonderful work, everyone! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

4.5 stars rounded up

Purls and Peril by Kitty Graham follows Maeve as she uncovers a huge scam that leaves someone dead. She has to use her non existent investigative skills to discover who the killer is while also avoiding getting in the way of the police. Ultimately someone she loves might be involved and that turns the whole case on its head.

I thought the beginning of the book was a little slow but once the book gets started it is honestly quite good! I enjoyed myself immensely. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes love triangles and good banter. As I mentioned, it is a little slow to start but the book gets really good! I did see a complaint that there was too much jargon about Maeve’s job and I have to disagree, I feel like it made the character real to me. I cant wait to see where the series goes from here!

PS: I got to meet the author and she’s absolutely lovely and told me a fun fact that she wrote this book in 6 weeks! How amazing is that?!

QOTD: what’s a book that started a little slow but got so good at the end?

Wool Walk starts TWO weeks from today! Can you believe it?

At Wool & Grace, we’re busy getting our “famous” grab and go kits ready that include yarn and pattern. Plus, we will be having a Blue Sky Trunk show.

In addition, drum roll please, we are so excited to be hosting Kitty Graham (aka our very own Rhona) for a book launch party on Friday, April 24th (5:30-7pm) to celebrate the release of her fourth book, Motifs and Malice. You can sign up now on our website under classes!

New to Wool Walk? Think of it as a yarn-filled crawl where you visit shop after shop enjoying special events, discounts, trunk shows, and more.

All you need is a passport ($6, with $1 going to the Community Food Bank of NJ) to unlock the fun. Passports and the collectible bag tag are now available at Wool & Grace. Can’t wait to see everyone April 22nd - April 26th. @newjerseywoolwalk @kittygrahamwrites #knittersofınstagram #knittersofravelry #knitknit #cozymysteries #yarncrawl #knitinstagram #knittersgonnaknit #knitinsta #knitter #crochetersofınstagram #summitdowntown
