2023 Championships!
We placed second with a final score of 86.750 and we couldn’t be happier. We worked so hard this entire season to put this show together and created strong friendships. The morning of champs we all went to IHOP to eat together one last time and then all put color into our hair to match to our headphones! It was an amazing day and filled with many happy tears since this is our last time competing. We can’t wait for next season💚🧡

Sometimes it’s not the music making or performances that make me proud.

Last night the CV Band had Bomecoming. Let me explain…

When competition season came out, we wanted to go to a show last weekend so we could have two weeks before BOA. Unfortunately, Homecoming got moved to that same weekend. Instead of complaining or leaving early or allowing this conflict to be a negative, the band council worked their butts off to throw a band homecoming (Bomecoming) complete with royalty, DJ Rokkwilder (in game dj for the AZ Diamondbacks), food, decorations and a digital Photo Booth. It was amazing and a true testament to the culture of problem solving and positivity.

Meet Keilei, she is one of the flute section leaders and a junior this year. She has played flute for six years and is gonna be marching piccolo for the first time! Her section describes her as "independent, responsible, funny, hardworking, creative, keeps everyone productive, and really cares for the section."
Fun fact is her first language was Spanish but forgot most of it while growing up.
