It’s summer, it’s hot or it’s raining at any given moment but what is needed (and appreciated) is fresh and most importantly SPICY food. It took me damn long enough to get down to Speedboat but boy was it worth it. Perfect for girl dinner chaos. Stunning ceviche prawns with the a fiery ‘seafood dressing’ that had Han outright refusing to try and did have me almost crying, delectable. Chicken skin proved a sensational picky bit to start. Every dish was a winner whether it was minced beef with a crispy fried egg and lashings of Thai basil; the wide chewy noodles or the crispiest pork belly. This has gained an immediate place on my go-to-Soho easy-dinner list.

Plus the phed pokati margarita was one of the best cocktails I’ve had in a minute - floral lime leaf notes with a good kick of chilli & pretty too, what more can a girl ask for?!

After many failed attempts at a reservation, I finally made it to Berenjak! Whilst the fight for a table does make you skeptical of the hype, they really do deliver on what they promise - expect silky hummus, juicy & charred meats and also stunning corn on the cob?!

I tried pomegranate wine for the first time (thanks Han) and loved how tart it was. Would I fight tooth and claw for a table again? No, I just feel like there are some Dalston spots that could compete, but I enjoyed the ambience and as always, nothing is better than a good dinner with the girls <3

Telling our family and friends that we’re engaged was one of my favorite bits of that entire weekend! ♥️ Everyone’s reactions were priceless!🥹 The video is long but that only means that we have so many people who love and celebrate us ♥️🥰 I’m sad cause not everyone’s reaction was recorded but this video makes my heart fuzzy 🥰

📍Korean Dinner Party, Kingley Court

Last week, myself and @hannaheyerman went to @koreandinnerparty for a post work catch-up! As we arrived before 6pm we made the most of the happy hour where all cocktails were £6!

✨WHAT WE ORDERED✨
🍗 Fried Chicken - really strong! Would’ve preferred the sauce on the side for dipping.
🌭 KDP Corn Dog - insane, we both loved our first corn dog experience
🥓 Bacon Mochi - the glaze was 10/10, with a really interesting texture overall
🍚 Kim Chi Fried Rice - very strong with a flavourful katsu-like sauce
🌮 Chicken Tacos - very flavourful but was so full before we started these!
🥬 Lettuce Wedge - the Caesar miso dressing? NEXT LEVEL

Overall a really strong dinner with some interesting flavours and concepts. Definitely recommend for a casual date night or dinner with a friend ✨

📍Bondi Green, Paddington

After a lovely chilled day in the London sun, @rig0nn and I headed on an early evening date night. After a few drinks at @vagabondwines by the river, we headed to Bondi Green which is part of the @daisygreencollection ✨🍴

I’ve been to a few of the daisy greens before, but it has always been for brunch so it was great to try their evening menu. As the sun was shining we started with a cocktail, I of course went for an aperol!! 🍹🍹

We were both stuck between a pizza or our other main options, so given we were so hungry and to kill to birds with one stone, we ordered a margherita to share to start! The pizza was strong, lovely fresh basil, a perfect not the thick and not too thick base and a good quality tomato base. 🍕🍕

For mains, I went for a chicken parm and fries, the chicken was crispy and the prosciutto which was hidden beneath the cheese added a lovely smokiness to the dish. However it was very filling and I barely ate my fries. 🍟 🍗

Rigon, went for a steak which was cooked perfectly to order and also came with a side salad and fries. As a self-proclaimed fries connoisseur, @rig0nn rated the chips highly! One thing we will note is it was clear the steak wasn’t rested before it was served, and we could tell from the level of blood and moisture of the plate. Not a complete red flag but something we picked up on. 🥩

Despite being stuffed to the brim, we couldn’t not try dessert. Unfortunately the mars bar cheesecake was unavailable (we’ve got to go back to try!) so we opted for a sticky toffee pudding! The sponge was like yet decadent and the toffee sauce was perfectly sweet and accompanied the ice cream incredibly well. 👀🍨

Overall with our discount from booking via @firsttableuk our bill came to just shy of £80, which we think was decent for what we got!

📍Milk, Balham

Sundays are made for sunny brunches and mooching around @oliverbonas ✨

When @mollywhitfield and I first moved to London in 2021/2022 we discovered this Balham classic…before it was tiktok viral! 👀 If you live in SW London and you’ve not visited @milkcoffeeldn you’ve not lived!!

With a really interesting menu, I’m always excited to see the specials, and have a glass of their INCREDIBLE bottled iced coffee. I usually go for the Sweet Maria sweetcorn fritters with halloumi, avocado and bacon, however I mixed it up this time with a fish sandwich! 👀🩷

✨✨A CLOSER LOOK AT WHAT WE HAD✨✨
🐟 FISH SANDO: shokupan, panko fried fish of the day (sea bream), housemade tonkatsu, Japanese mayo, fukujinzuke daikon & togarashi

🍞 MOXONS TOAST: smoked salmon tail shmear, pickled onions, fried capers, pea shoots salad on toasted sourdough

🥔 JEFE HASH: hash stack, chorizo oil mayo and chorizo crumb

A 10/10 brunch that I implore you to try!
