Exactly two weeks ago, we wrapped up our first Perfect Session: Tribute to Bill Evans with Steven Christian Trio at @norrmradiobar on Friday night 🎹🥁

Steven Christian Trio delivered a thoughtful performance of Bill Evans’ repertoire. The night felt warm, intimate, and full of energy. Some of the guests said the atmosphere reminded them of a jazz bar, while others described it as being close to the experience of hearing Bill Evans at the Village Vanguard.

One of the things that caught people by surprise was the setup we brought in for the live set. We had a baby grand piano, a double bass, and acoustic drums, a format you do not often encounter in a performance like this.

Perfect Session also went beyond the music itself, offering an educational session on Bill Evans’ musical career and fun facts led by @sendhiar and @rafqisadikin from @livingsocietymedia

We want to thank all of our partners and supporting brands who helped make the night possible. Thank you to @hijacksandals for supporting our program, @passthepeasss for the tees support for our team, @oxfordsociety for making sure Steven Christian Trio looked sharp that night @peep.eyewear for providing eyewear for the performers and talk hosts and @radaronradare for the jazzy caps.

Supporting a jazz program takes courage, and we genuinely appreciate everyone who chose to stand behind this one. And, of course, thank you to everyone who came and spent the evening with us.

Beautiful composition of moving images and pictures by @ad___sahid & @vigomalik

Prepping for another, see you at the end of the month 👋🏻🎷👀 <- a little hint.

That background music you have heard might be the hardest jazz composition. It is the simplest description of Bill Evans, whose music is highly regarded among jazz fans.

Now, this is a preview of what the Steven Christian Trio prepares in the studio for the first Bill Evans Trio Tribute in Bandung, or even in Indonesia, inviting you to experience something special.

See you soon
