When Almost Real Things let us know that we’d each get two 2”x4” canvas’ for the Austin Studio Tour group show we were a little perplexed. But we rallied and came up with some neat pieces! I hope you’ll come see ours at the group show opening on Nov. 6 at Canopy. And then come see us at our S. First St location during the tour. We are stop 121 both weekends!

Doreen Landrum is a potter and sculptor in Austin, Texas. While there have been more strictly “art” pieces over the last few years, you will always find her sneaking art into everyday items, giving people a reason to pause and find joy in the regular things they do. In a world that is increasingly mass-produced, owning something that was created purposefully and singularly by someone’s hand, and being able to interact with that person, connects us in ways that are needed, now more than ever. When she is not in her studio or training her new studio puppy, she works as a clinical psychologist.
