A little spice. A little spark. A shift in perspective.

Together with perfumer Michael Nordstrand @michaelnordstrandperfumer , we wanted to capture that particular feeling of standing by the sea, beneath the vast Mediterranean sky, where the water meets the horizon and everything seems endless.
Sea salt, basil, ginger and pink pepper create a sparkling, tingling freshness. A spicy freshness on top, like a salty breeze carrying the energy of the Mediterranean.
Then comes a watery green pear, blending into a rooty, woody iris before settling into a smooth, woody base.

What we love about Azuris is this sense of openness. That moment when you look out towards the horizon and everything suddenly feels a little less complicated. The noise fades, the perspective shifts, and the mind opens up to possibilities.

An homage to the Mediterranean sky and the endless horizon. To the freedom of looking beyond what is in front of us, and the beauty of seeing things differently.

Mentally I‘m here…

Photography, to me, is a language — a tool to express myself, but also to show my emotions. I like it stylistically simple, technically skilled, and emotionally deep. When I work for clients, I can deploy that skill deliberately to reach a target audience; for my own projects, it’s more of an outlet.

D:SOL Azuris

Recently I had the pleasure of developing and photographing new visual worlds for D:SOL’s newest fragrance, Azuris. The theme of the fragrance is expanse and clarity, the kind you feel by a southern sea, clouds, horizon, ships passing by - no boundaries. All of that should come through in the images immediately. Here’s the teaser, with dazzling reflections and sparkling light. I hope you like it!

I had the pleasure of working once again with my longtime client Dennis Werner, founder of D:SOL, to create a series of images capturing his vision for his new fragrance, Azuris. The goal was to let viewers experience the scent’s sphere visually — translating an intangible olfactory feeling into a tangible, evocative image. Can you feel it?

AZURIS | Return to blue

AZURIS is inspired by the quiet vastness of the southern sky — clear light, drifting clouds, and the feeling of looking upward to shift perspective. A moment of ease and openness, where noise fades into distance and the world feels lighter, calmer, full of possibility.

Green mandarin and basil open bright and airy, lifted by pink pepper, ginger and sea salt. Pear and iris soften into mediterranean cypress, cool woods and skin-like musks; freshness becomes atmosphere, light settles gently into calm.

Created with perfumer Michael Nordstrand @michaelnordstrandperfumer , it marks his second creation for D:SOL - continuing a creative dialogue that began with ISLETA, now opening onto an entirely new horizon.

We will unveil our new creation exclusively at Pitti Fragranze in Florence, together with our Italian distributor Essenses @essensesit / Stand B12.

Online in Germany from 15 September.
With selected retail partners across Europe from late September / early October.
