PRO TIP: Exploration VS Execution

Exploration is how you grow, develop speed, push limits and find wha breaks. It helps develop visual processing and control.

Execution is your base, it is your 90-98% repeatable reliable performance that you can accomplish 9-10/10 times. And you need that to have to be able to explore from.

Pro tip: tape like a grand master

Step 1 identify your target, use your support hand to stabilize the the target, establish a relaxed grip on the tape gun, while keeping the nose up activate the lever and stab the target!

PRO TIP:
There is a difference between trying to go fast and being aggressive. If you are trying to go fast, you’re hoping for an outcome without a plan just applying speed and violence. Being aggressive is executing each step without any delay, deliberately and aggressively which leads to speed and positive outcomes.

PRO TIP: INNER VOICE

When your shooting, training, competing what does your inner voice sound like? Chaotic, critical, happy, flat?
Personally I find that flat and emotionless is where my best performance lies. Don’t think about how “fast it will be at the end, instead think about aggressive emotionless execution of the steps and you will crush it 🤘🏼🇺🇸

PRO TIP: Speed VS Sights

Every target has an ideal amount of sight confirmation for you at your skill level.
Not all targets are equal in difficulty, some require more sight confirmation and some require less. If you use the same amount of aiming strategy on every target, it will be either too slow or you’ll drop too many points so identify the targets that require good site confirmation per shot and the ones that you can attack treat them differently now get out there and get some.!

Flow practice, only run the stage once and score it. Creat rules for the stage, make a plan that follows the restrictions in place then execute and review what went wrong and wha went well. This was a clean run all alphas. One mistake was the re engagement of the left popper at the port which wasn’t necessary because my memory failed me and I was a bit sticky to the first 4 targets, but I am seeing the benefit of this style of training already.

Pro tip: how to train better

Add more variation and consequences to your training days.
Don’t repeatedly execute the same stage or drill it will not help you grow. It will not help with your planning it will only let you memorize and improve that specific sequence or drill.
Instead change the drill/stage to a totally different sequence that works your previous failure point.

Keep score, evaluate your results and own your failure. Don’t give yourself a dozen chances to get it right the only thing that matters is your ability to deliver on demand 1st try and to build that consistency.

Just because you just had a hero run after 20 tries doesn’t mean you’re now a hero or have the baseline capacity for performance.
Now get out there and get some!🇺🇸🤘🏼🔥#
