Raptors keep it rolling with win number 2 against the Wizards 112-102 🪄. This is the first time we have went 2-0 to start the season since our championship season in 2019 and have led through all 96 minutes. I won’t lie, the shooting was very ugly. A lot of short jumpers, 7/34 from deep is unacceptable. Let’s hope it’s early season fatigue and the boys get their feet under them. On an individual level, Kawhi had (16 PTS, 9 REB, 3 STL, 35% FG). He seems to be moving a little tired on defensive rotations and rebounding. But that being said, he always knows how to close out a game. In the last few minutes of the game, Scottie was on Trae Young, Trae calls for a screen but is met with CMB hounding him on the switch, he passes it away, only to be intercepted by the big hands of Kawhi. Three-headed defensive snake. This defence, along with Poeltl helping shut down superstar Anthony Davis to 9 points. The other main star Trae Young did most of his damage from the foul line, with the help of generous refereeing all night. But for our Raptors, Scottie (28 PTS, 14 REB, 5 AST, 2 STL, 2 BLK) was sensational, especially in the 4th when he put up 11 of his 28, he now ties Antonio Davis for 4th all time for doubles doubles in Raptors franchise history with (110). He’s expanded his game with smoother 15 footers and it’s opened up scoring options for him. RJ (23 PTS, 9 REB) also guided the team through a lot of rough stretches with his physical buckets. Quickley had a fantastic first quarter on both ends, but when his shooting dried up, his play became worse. Finally, Ja’Kobe & CMB (+21) gave us some valuable bench minutes with hustle, rebounding, steals. Tough opponent up next with the Timberwolves on Sunday! 🐺

Live footage of the 2026 number 1 overall pick AJ Dybantsa, after seeing his matchups for tonight’s game, his ankle injury didn’t exist, the fear of playing Kawhi and Scottie did!

Jokes aside, this Wizards team lowkey has depth and are a very well balanced squad with nice size and some promising young talent. Young and Davis seem to have a nice pick and roll game going so let’s stifle that out of the gate. It will likely be a down to the wire type game tonight away from home. Like Kawhi said let’s grind these tough wins, it starts here!

What kind of take is this, Kawhi wanted extra minutes to get more game reps in. If Sid here watched the game he would notice that Kawhi wasn’t moving at his best, but as he plays more the quickness and acceleration will come. Drama started for no reason, if your show is boring and no one is watching, maybe it’s because the topics make no sense!
