'We've had an outstanding day of music. There's nothing else to say about it.'

Schubert and an early Bartók at the Queen's Hall by morning. By night, the Usher Hall rose to Coleridge-Taylor's The Song of Hiawatha, at the Festival for the very first time. Relentless and uplifting 💛

Fresh off of our sold-out 2-hour duo concert (Mark and Maggie O'Connor) we are back to this hall at The Hub at the Edinburgh International Festival for more tomorrow night! (8/16/26). But this time with fellow music guests of the festival: Gustavo Dudamel (that's correct, the great conductor who we just saw with the L.A. Phil last night give an extraordinary performance), Oscar Dudamel Band with his famous son sitting in on violin, the Kleio Quartet based out of London (and the quartet's 1st violinist Yume Fujise told me at the symphony concert last night that the first CD she ever purchased was my 'Midnight On The Water" cd and she played it on loop!), jazz pianist Makoto Ozone, and vocalist Nicky Spence round out the incredible line up for this revue. Just released to the public, a few remaining tickets left at The Hub. photos Jess Shurte for @edintfest Tix:
