Parę dni minęło, zanim zdążyliśmy usiąść i napisać to porządnie. For Kornel 2026 był wyjątkowy. I wychodzi. Dziękujemy wszystkim wolontariuszom i organizatorom, bo bez Was nie byłoby czego oglądać.

Many people don’t know this, but before I was an internationally-touring DJ, I was a radio show host on @wnyu from 2020-2025. I realized that so much of the music we listen to were made by men, and I always had to dig for tracks by women and non-binary artists, especially in contemporary classical music, which is what I curated at that time. Fast forward to when I started djing, and I encountered a similar problem. There is so much intention, research, and commitment behind being a music curator that people don’t often think about. That’s why I started a new show called “Zeros + Ones” in 2024 — to highlight FLINTA electronic music artists and pay homage to the history of early electronic music (which was predominantely led by trans and female artists). The show ran for 2 seasons on @wnyu and @subtleradio. I’ve been taking a break from the show as we look for a new station to host it on! If you’re a community-run radio station, I would love to work with you! #djlife #communityradio #undergroundmusic #electronicmusic #technolovers

when music becomes a commodity, the act of creation becomes labour. the ‘aura’ of the work is displaced as reproducible and this exchange-value reorganises listening into consumption. this is precisely the transformation Walter Benjamin diagnoses for art under mechanical reproduction, and becomes accentuated in this age of AI art. if we are to resist this type of reproducibility in our art, we must relate it to the work’s unique presence in time and space, which mechanical reproduction erodes. rather than focusing on the end product, we are seeing a shift towards foregrounding workflows, decisions, and embodied risk as an essential part of the work itself, and by doing so, focusing more attention on the human trajectory of the work rather than the end product. listen to the full podcast on @herz.wave's channel on YouTube and Spotify 🎧 • • • • • • • • • #dj #djlife #artist #techno #electronicmusic #musicproducer #musicindustry #womeninmusic #ai #podcast #shamanofthedancefloor #aiart #thoughts
