Keeping this particular cover under wraps has been something of a challenge. At last, I can say it: Tian Xiwei (@vv.tian) is GRAZIA Singapore’s September 2026 cover star! 💥

Tian is, of course, one of the breakout stars of the year, following her turn opposite Zhang Linghe in the Chinese hit drama ‘Pursuit of Jade’. Yet the attention appears to have left her remarkably unfazed. “Honestly, the biggest change I’ve noticed is just how many more people recognise me now, and how many more people call out my name. But internally, I don’t feel like I’ve changed very much,” she tells Deputy Editor Cheryl Lai-Lim over bowls of bak kut teh in her cover interview (now live on grazia.sg!).

Back in May, we quietly orchestrated her cover shoot at Marina Bay Sands while Tian was in Singapore for the Generation Gucci launch event. A few flight complications kept us on our toes for 48 hours, but when Tian finally arrived, she was fresh-faced, effervescent and ready to work. Photographed by Reuben Foong and styled by Fashion Editor Kelly Hsu, she wears Gucci with the kind of ease that makes even the most considered fashion look entirely instinctive.

There is a word we keep circling back to in our June/July 2026 issue, one that resists easy definition the more closely you examine it: sensual. Not in the narrow sense it is so often reduced to, but in its fullest meaning—of the senses, through the body, alive to texture and warmth and the specific weight of things. It is, we decided, exactly the right word for right now.

It begins, as it should, with our cover. “Orm” Kornnaphat Sethratanapong (@orm.kornnaphat)—actress, cultural phenomenon, and the kind of person who generates US$36 million in fashion week earned media value without, it seems, once trying to—sat with us and said something that stopped the room: “From the very first day until today, I still feel like I’m the same person.”

In an industry built on transformation and spectacle, that quiet constancy is its own kind of sensuality: a presence that draws you in precisely because it refuses to perform. Together with her ‘The Secret of Us’ co-star Sirilak “Lingling” Kwong (@linglingkwong), she has turned the Thai Wave into something more like a tide.
