A huge thank you to everybody who made my summer what it was. Pictured or not, Aaron, Jack, Kylee, Caleb, Pete, Avery, JJ, Lev, Dylan, LJ, Peter and Quinn are some names that pop out to me that made me feel welcome and as important a part of the corps as any.

This has been such a fulfilling experience for me. Since my freshman year of high school through my sophomore year of college I've always marched around DCI members, some of them Spartans, others Bluecoats and Scouts. I've always considered myself one of them, despite not having marched, because I felt my dedication to drumming matched their own. Now that I've marched, I know I was sorely mistaken.

I had no idea just how dedicated and passionate you had to be to complete a season, just how hard you had to push to come out a winner, or just how important this family would become to me now that it's over.

In the Spartans' last open class season, with an open class move-ins, we learned our show in 13 days, dominated our open class competition, stayed competitive in world class, performed at our first Allentown, swept all captions both days of open class finals, and in our last scored performance in Lucas Oil beat Academy in percussion and Crossmen overall. We did our part in this year's East Coast sweep (shoutout Crusaders and Buccaneers) and completed a 3-peat to close out our transition to the big leagues.

Thank you @spartansdrumcorps for providing me my dream summer and a dozen lifelong friends.
Thank you @brookestelmokasphotos for all the fire flicks🔥🔥.
Thank you @spartans_quadline for the clean beats.
