Today, I turn 39. ❤️

Sometimes, I get so caught up in living life that I forget just how precious it is. I get caught up in the things I want to accomplish, the things I wish were different, and the things I feel I still need to do. And sometimes, I forget that simply being here is a gift.

My brother died at 19. I’m turning 39. I’ll never stop thinking about how much life he didn’t get to experience, how many birthdays he didn’t get to celebrate, and all the moments he should have been here for.

Today, I was reminded that growing older is a privilege. Getting another year, another chance, another moment to laugh, love, grow, and become the person I’m meant to be is something I never want to take for granted.

So today, I’m not just celebrating another birthday. I’m celebrating the life I get to live, even when it’s messy, even when it’s hard, and even when I forget how beautiful it is to simply be here.

Happy birthday to me. And wherever life takes me, I hope I never forget how lucky I am to be here🥂
