Happy Birthday Mom. We miss you every day, here, but know you’re better! You would have been 75 today! 🎉

Last night was the 20 year high school reunion of my graduating class from Lutheran High School of Dallas and I’m still in my feels.

We laughed, told countless stories, and caught up on ALL the life events (which is all par for the course at this kind of thing), but the thing that was most shocking to me was how much DEEP love I have for folks I haven’t seen since May of 2006.

Looking back, I had my close friends and certainly wasn’t besties with everyone, but all these years later I feel a deep kinship with ALL of the folks that walked the few halls of our small school together.

It was honestly super healing to chat with folks that I didn’t get to know as well as I would have liked to back in then day, and to outright declare my love and affection towards so many folks that watched me grow up through some of the most awkward years of my life.

Life has thrown us all kind of curve balls. We’ve experienced phenomenal highs and crushing lows. We’ve scattered all over the world and found ourselves living lives few of us could have predicted. And yet there’s a certain comfort to be found in the fact that no matter where we are - we have a pretty cool tribe in the LHS class of ‘06.

I love you guys and will continue to cheer you on as loudly as I can in all that you do! - your friend, Rusty

Fame is a trap. Rather, we should strive to be well known and known well. I’m always a little hesitant to jump on a social media trend but when you have the opportunity to share things you love with the people you care about, you should do it!!

My dear friend @queenhoneygames inspired me to make my own through her kind words. She absolutely nailed it. Yes, life is full of difficulty and challenges AND STILL there is good and joy all around us. It might just be my enneagram 7ness or likely undiagnosed ADHD, but I truly delight in so many of these things.

I’m not here trying to pick the BEST OF THE BEST or pick things that will make you think I’m cool. These are things that I love and enjoy for all kinds of reasons - some for nostalgia, some for deep personal meaning, and some because they’re fun and that’s all the justification I need.

Now that Lent is over, figured I could finally make my Mardi Gras post 😜

Mardi Gras 2026 was full of hand grenades, walks to Bourbon, endless walks up and down St. Charles, wigs, hats, FFF, so much face glitter and obviously lots of beads.

Love you New Orleans

At Row House, we believe strength is more than just performance. It’s the decision to keep going when something has to change.

For Max, that moment came unexpectedly. On March 22, 2025, a minor heart irregularity during a workout became a turning point — not out of fear, but out of being tired of starting over. No dramatic moment. Just a decision to do things differently… and stick with it. Since then, Max has lost over 115 pounds. Through consistent workouts at Row House West Frisco, daily discipline, and showing up even on the hard days, he completely transformed his health — physically and mentally.

Tracking every day.
Showing up anyway.
Choosing progress over perfection.

This weekend, he took that transformation even further — stepping onto the HYROX stage. 🏁

Strength doesn’t always look like a finish line. Sometimes, it looks like choosing not to quit. And sometimes… it looks like Max. 😎

We are proud of you, Max!

Cause im just a teenage dirtbag baby!!

There is approximately ONE person that could have gotten me to do @hyroxamerica and that is @kmaxjohnson (plenty others tried and were immediately denied). So when he asked me, it was an automatic and an enthusiastic yes because I knew while it might be physically torturous we would 100% have a blast!

I understand it’s a competition and I certainly wish I would have trained a BIT more, I am fully confident that we had the most fun out of anyone in our race. We laughed, we danced, we dabbed up the judges because why in the world would you do all this if you didn’t make it FUN?!

HUUUUGE shout out to @thomas.flores_ for showing up unasked and filming all this, for coaching me, and for sometimes allowing my commander to resolve (IYKYK). Sooo great to see folks like @lizroad on the course and run into friends like @leesaward in the crowd!

Wait is this my whole personality now? ADHD hyperfocus ENGAGE!! 🚀

🍨🍦Ho Ho Holy cookies was this delicious!!🍦🍨

I froze a pint of (non-alcoholic) Max-Nog and used my Ninja Creami to blend it into a velvety, inappropriate mouthfeel that makes you hope no one saw your “happy” face after you took that first bite… but I digress.

And why “non-alcoholic” you ask? Well, there’s simply SOO MUCH “happy juice” in traditional Max-Nog, that it won’t even freeze 😅🤷‍♂️🎅 Don’t think I didn’t try… the offseason is for experimentation! 👨‍🔬🧬🧪

When your childhood best friend asks if you want a run a 5k together, you drive to Dallas and make a hyper dramatic reel of the event, RIGHT??

We may not be the fastest, but I assure you, we had the most fun!

@brooksrunning give this man a sponsorship!!
