🎙️ Introducing a new series: Behind the Reins We’re kicking things off with Karen Brittle, Assistant Professor of Equine Studies and Director of TRAC at Centenary University. In this conversation, we talk about how Professor Brittle got involved in the program and the fundamentals of therapeutic riding. TRAC, which stands for Therapeutic Riding at Centenary, is a nationally recognized program that provides therapeutic riding services for individuals with physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges—while also training the next generation of EAS industry professionals. Also, a huge thank you to Professor Brittle and the TRAC program for taking the time to show me around and share more about the incredible work happening through their TRAC program. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to learn from leaders who are shaping the future of therapeutic riding and equine-assisted services. This visit also marks the beginning of something new — introducing Behind the Reins, a series where we sit down with professionals, educators, and advocates across the therapeutic riding and equine-assisted world to share their stories, experiences, and the impact horses can have on people’s lives. 🐎 Watch the interview 🤎 Learn about the awesome work happening at TRAC: https://www.centenaryuniversity.edu/degrees-and-programs/school-departments/equine-studies/therapeutic-riding-and-horsemanship 📍 And be sure to follow for more Behind the Reins content @therapeuticridingatcentenary @kmbrittle #therapeuticriding #centenaryuniversity #therapeuticridingatcentenary #gentlegallop #horses
